Wrapping your hands a certain way isn't going to make you punch harder, punching power comes from the body not the fist itself...

So wearing brass knuckles wont help your punch? Afterall...power comes from your body. There's a reason boxers wear pillows on their fists...some boxers try to compromise that by making their wraps harder.

Layered wraps are cheating. As an amateur Tito did not have as much pop until he turned pro, the wraps helped him however how much of an edge it gave them we really can't tell.

Power comes from the force of the punch and not from the wraps. The wraps add impact with that force for the ultimate effect.

#1. Can't be Don Felix own words because he doesn't speak english. If the translator was as bad as the guy translating for Juanma last Saturday........OH God that was horrible!! Translator was saying whatever the hell he wanted to say.
#2. Lets says Don Felix said that. He wrapped to protect Tito. Many hard punchers hurt their hands. Your quote says they didn't allowed him to use so much tape so he used more gauze. GAUZE IS SOFT!!!!! So that can take away some punching effect. NO MATTER THE AMOUNT OF TAPE, HITTING WITH A BARE KNUCKLE WOULD BE WORST. NOTICE THEY DIDN'T FIND ANY PLASTER OR ILLEGAL SUBSTANCE OR OBJECT. THAY JUST COMPLAINED ABOUT THE AMOUNT OF TAPE. STILL, TITO LASTED MORE THAN OSCAR DELAHOYA

No, but it'll help the damage. You obviously don't know what "Power," is.

He did metioned Tito. But he said he was there for Tito vs. Jones. And basically was the same technique. I guess he learned from Don Felix. But remember, there was nothing illegal in Tito's wraps for jones. And for BHOP all they said was "suspicious"

Wow! By no means am I accusing juanma of cheating, but how can you say that the wraps dont matter. What a dumb statement. Think about it, crumble up one sheet of regular white paper, tightly compacted vs. lets say 20 sheets, and I mean compacted as tight as possible. Now which of the two would be sturdier?

There is definitely ways of improving punching power if illegal tactics are used.

You work out in a gym? If so, double wrap your hands next time you go and watch how much harder and more destructive your blows get, even on a simple heavybag. It makes a world of difference if your hands are wrapped a certain way.
