Salido-Mtagwa was stopped due to injury. Mtagwa went into the ring with torn rib cartilage, which worsened during the fight. Not sure how the Pereira stoppage came about. Either way, I don't think Mtagwa is as easy to put away as you're making it seem.

As far as the hand wrapping goes, there could be something there. Prior to Lopez-Penalosa, Roach argued about JuanMa's hand wraps and made them rewrap them. I thought it was just Roach trying to get inside a fighters head as usual, but maybe Freddie was on to something.

 

why dont you take a drive to La Puente, Cali and ask Luevano?

LOL, I think it's fair to say JuanMa's power dimished from being weight drained in the fight against Rodgers. Lopez looked real comfortable and with decent power against Luevano.

 

Freddie Roach has done this before. He did it against Barrera and he did it against DLH.

BTW how come nobody brings up THOSE allegations? Ya know where Roach claimed that Oscar De La Hoya used an illegal wrapping technique?

He also claimed Barrera was wrapping his hands illegally.

Basically Roach is willing to be a dickhead to protect his fighter and psyche out an opponent. Any time his lips are moving, you're safe to assume he's lying.
