I know he beat an over the hill Tyson, but still he made Tyson throw in the towel. How come McBride didn't apply himself after he defeated Tyson? He lost to no name fighters afterwards. The guy was built to be the next Irish Rocky. Tell me what you think. After he defeated Polley he went on a horrible streak.

McBride was never really a top 25 heavyweight. Tyson was past prime when he quit in that fight.

But McBride might have had a somewhat better career though if he stayed in better shape.

Well considering his cornermen keg-standed him inbetween rounds didn't ever help. You know his water was vodka right? You are aware of this i'm sure...

Yeah, Mike was talking all crazy about his back was broken:roll: and how many pain pills he had taken that night:lol::patsch

McBride had potential but in this sport you must carry yourself as there is no team to take up your slack. Kevin learned quickly that we fans are non forgiving and you have to stay in SHAPE:hey

Thats like asking what happened to Trevor Berbick after defeating Muhammad Ali. Kevin McBride was an average fighter that unexpectedly beat an old Mike Tyson. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Mike say something to the degree of "I'm not supposed to be losing to guys like this" in the post fight interview which is why he retired.

This guy is a bum and has always been a bum.

The only reason he beat Tyson was the odds was so good that Tyson threw the fight and made some great coin betting against himself.

Who knows the extent of the damage, but a guy whose had a motorcycle accident isnt going to be in 100% condition is he?

    especially when hes about 38?

Simple words like; "Over the hill" or "past his prime" doesn't accurately describe the state Tyson was in that fight.

I can see where you're going with this, He's tall and could have used his height alot better. But he lacked the will to become anything.

Berbick was miles better than McBride.

McBride was a journeyman who beat a washed-up Tyson. No "wasted potential" here.
