Kevin McBride didn't belong in there with anyone serious. You must realize his "win" over Tyson was a pigeon coop Tyson, not the Tyson of old. I do think McBride should of had one mega PPV 3-rounder championship with Peter McNeely, Danny Williams, and Old/fat Buster Douglas.

Ali didn't quit like Tyson did nor did Tyson have to deal with Parkinson's syndrome. Mike displayed his true character once all the layers of his talent had been peeled away and that was a coward. He quit for no reason, no injury, it was still a competitive fight. He just gave up. Gave up against a complete BUM who got KO'd by Luis Monaco.

There was no wasted potential with Kevin McBride.

He successfully became a legend by beating one in Mike Tyson, which is all anyone can ever really hope to accomplish in this sport.

Eh... I think if not for his drinking problems, and lack of fitness throughout most of his career he could have been a slightly better high level journeyman/fringe contender. Not much better though.

the outcome of the tyson fight had much more to do with mike tyson's state, mentally quite a bit more than physically. All you have to do is look at the way the fight ended and mcbride's resume before and after the tyson fight.

I think it would be fair to say that Tyson was utterly shot to oblivion, by the time McBride got in the ring with him. McBride's victory was no realistic measure of his potential.

Wasnt Tyson actually winning this fight, if i remember correctly?

i think mcbride just leaned on him and Tyson couldnt be bothered to get back up anymore?

He was a bum before and after Tyson. Never any good and if TYSON TRIED, he would have won.

He beat Tyson becuse he was lucky and Tyson quit.
After 6 rounds 57-55 by two judges, and 55-57 was for Tyson by one.
(Including 2 points deduction from Tyson).
I think this fight was fixed.Have you ever seen a powerful punch on this
    fight? I doubt it.
Otherwise Tyson was 38 nearly 39 years old.
A McBride win from a 38 years old(post-prison,mental and trainer problematic fighter is good.)
So many persons forget Tyson took lots of hard punches in his
carrier.Obviously his nervous system was crap and his reflex went to the
    nowhere.
Tyson had 58 fights.Lewis had only 44.Lewis was 37 years old on his last fight .
Obviously McBride did nothing.I think he has/had potential , and
this is ***ual potential and nothing to do with boxing .
His other potential is the gigantic fat mass building.
Othewise McBride had losses before the Tyson fight.
Basically McBride's full sport carrier is total uninteresting without this
    ridicolous Tyson "fight".
    - I can say a much more ridicolous fight.Mccline-Valuev.
McCline landed a punch and he went down.
-To me the wladimir klitschko's Puritty loss was bigger shame.
    wladimir was fresh,hungry,young,experienced,well-managed,trained
and he lost by a crap Puritty. :good

I think you are jealous because Monaco has/had a remarkable muscle mass.
Maybe Monaco hasn't good chin and skill but he could punch.Everybody is dangerous who could punch. For example the Sanders-wladimir klitschko fight.:tong
