Was Klitchko-Ibragimov good or bad for boxing and the division?

No problem. It's still a worthwhile proposition. I voted it was bad.

good for the heavy weight division. bad for fight fans.
it was a snooze fest. this fight just lacked intensity,& desire from both guys.

    Bad

The heavyweight champion is supposed to be an idol. That was a pathetic display lacking in testicular fortitude. I can't even blame Ibragimov, it isn't his game to try and get inside and rough the big guy up. He tried it sporadically, but it just didn't work

Wlad fought like a skittish school girl. The worrying thing is, Chagaev is a very similar fighter to Ibragimov. It will be the same all over again if by some miracle we get another unification

It was a historically relevant fight that consolidated a dominant Heavyweight in an unimpressive manner, and it was boring.

It was terrible for the heavyweight division. It reminded me of Taylor vs Spinks. That is how bad that fight was.

I won't even bother to watch heavyweights on regular HBO anymore. They better stick to ESPN or something.

Worst division in boxing, hands down. Vlad gets destroyed by any good heavyweight of the past.

Anyone think Wlad would fight Peter again(if he beats Maskaev)?

I think this fight was good cause it got rid of a lame fighter like Iggy, but bad because it showed that it's still a very open division and guys like Valuev, Maskaev, Peter, and Chagaev, are in the same league as Wlad, after last night there still no dominant Heavyweight in the division.

Would you pick Wlad to beat any of the fighters you listed??
    Valuev?
    Maskaev?
    Peter?
    Chagaev?

    Your thoughts:think

I only want to see Wlad against Valuev and Povetkin, he can let his brother have Peter/Maskaev for all I care

Valuev is interesting because it will be the first time Wlad doesn't have all the physical advantages, because he uses them very well and it makes for a boring fight against small counter-punchers. Maybe Valuev could even get more power in his punches, as he wouldn't be punching so far down. I'd expect Wlad to win clearly on points, but it would be more intriguing than the bull**** dished up last night

Povetkin would be good because he comes forward, and unlike Ibragimov he isn't scared to get hit. He'd probably get knocked out, but at least it would be exciting if he could put some pressure on Wlad. He looked so nervous last night, I think Povetkin is the last guy he would want to face

bullplop! again he dominated a top 5 hw with his friggin jab. if anything, he showed how weak these other guys are. when wlad let his hands go he made iggy look like an amateur. he needs someone who will make him fight forcing wlad to let his hands go more. Peter and Povetkin would make for the most exciting fights due to their styles. chagaev might be similar to this but chagaev is much more stationary than iggy.

wlad would fukin **** valuev :yep

No, but I increased all the fighters chances of beating Wlad now, his performance last night makes me feel his not as dominant as I once thought. I would Valuev a 40%, Maskaev 30%, Peter 40%, and Chagaev a 40% chance of beating Wlad IMO now.

I agree with Valuev not Povetkin(yet)
I am very curious about Valuev-Klitchko as from what I've heard Valuev showed alot of polish in his last fight.
Povetkin would get dismantled easily I think

Iggy sucked last night, he proved to me and most other people that he had no business being in the ring with Wlad last night, if he's a top 5 guy, this is the worst Heavyweight division of all time. The fact that 4 or 5 of the rounds were close because of inactivity by both men is pretty sad, I gave Iggy 2 or 3 rounds, how about you?
