Was Klitchko-Ibragimov good or bad for boxing and the division?

    Chagev 10%

let me ask u something. how are these slow oafs gonna catch wlad. the guy is damn near unhittable. peter is last guy to land anything good on him, what 2.5 years ago.

I'm not sure, Wlad's face was sheer horror when Ibragimov got within his reach. This is only Ibragimov, he isn't a big puncher or an effective pressure fighter

Povetkin's game is to come forward and throw lots of leather. The worry is he is far too open, but at least it would make for 5/6 rounds of good action. If Wlad fought like last night, just relying on the jab I give Povetkin a very live chance as the underdog

if u wanna say it's the worst, fine. but boring or not last night wlad proved he's in a class by himself. those other guys have almost no chance. peter is the only guy that can make it competitive with his style and chin.

TFFP is exactly right, When he said Wlads face looked to be in horror every time Iggy got close to landing on him. I'm telling you Kobe is god, Wlad has a serious chin problem, I have a strange feeling he was just protecting himself last night from hitting the canvas, which he did a good job of, I'm just curious whats going to happen if a heavy hitter like Peter pressures him and ends up connecting, since he now throws straighter punches than he did in 05?:think

Although the outcome is beneficial in unifying the belts you wouldn't advise anyone to sit and the fight. For somebody who had such obvious physical advantages over an opponent, Klitschko's performance was one of the most gutless I've seen in a very long time. This was brought even more sharply into focus by the fight that preceded it. Duddy was ridiculous on a technical level, but after watching the drivel that followed it you appreciated his fighting spirit and that of his opponent even more

I think Povetkin would need to hone the fundamentals(good jab, good movement, and most importantly accurate punching).....to me he's just too sloppy right now......only thing he has going for him is a high workrate.

Kobe is god, what did Iggy even do that was impressive last? He was wide open for anything Wlad through, he showed almost no skill, and was just looking for that one punch, thats not what a Heavyweight champ does in the ring, now finally people will realize what I've been saying all along, Iggy was a lame WBO title holder, nothing more nothing less.

Yes - good, or yes - bad? How about learning how to phrase a question?

before peter even gets a rematch, he must deal with maskaev and potentially vitali first. wlad is the champ, peter must earn a title shot now. if he does, i will give him his props and look forward to an exciting rematch.

as for wlad's fear....i dont think he was afarid as much as it was a styles clash. but i agree, wlad could have finished him off but chose not to. remember, he did the same thing against peter in the 12th round. he took the win and will live to fight another day.

The one thing i will say is, wlad needs to develop that killer instinct which made lennox so great. hopefully with time he can start to develop it.

Fair enough, I just thought Wlad was afraid to throw the right for some reason, Im guessing he was afraid to get countered. I do think Iggys style made Wlad a little uneasy, but so did alot of other fighters like Peter, Sanders, even Brewster at some during there first fight. I know you have different views on this, but I'm convinced Wlads afraid to get hit, last night just confirmed it for me.
