Was Klitschko-Peter actually a decent fight or was it another Klitschko borefest?

  1. I didn't watch it so someone fill me in. Was it a decent scrap or was it like Waldo's usual fights -- boring as hell?

Wladimir was aggressive from the very beginning. A great performance, imo.

Yes, by looking at my avatar many will say I'm biased....however, I don't see how even the strongest critic of Wladimir could have anything bad to say about tonight.

He was aggressive, threw a variety of punches, and was the first to stop Peter in the ring. This was against an in shape 241lbs Peter.

It was nothing special. Wlad I thought looked amazing in the 2nd but it went down hill from there untill the KO

Loads of clinching, ko at the end. Usual fare.
Wlad didn't sit down on his punches for most of the fight, looked a little slower and less snappy than usual. Peter didn't look like he was trying to win, nothing like the first fight where he really went for it. Content to be held and to hold back.

    Holding is not being aggressive.

I thought it was fairly typical.

First off, I don't think there's anything wrong with holding, it's a boxing strategy.

HOWEVER, Wladimir was not the one holding tonight....it was PETER.

First round was alright. Both guys mixing it up fairly well.

Second round the punch, punch grab showed it's ugly head and the fight went in the toilet.

    As expected.

WAY too much clinching, but Wlad was forced to throw more right hands then he is accustomed to, and to use the uppercut, so when the clinches weren't taking place there was more combinations thrown than in the typical Wlad fight. The KO was pretty brutal.

Do you know why I said Wlad fought a great second round? He moved instead of waiting to clinch and looked great doing it. Then he stopped and decided not to work so hard:-(

It was just as exciting as most of Ali's fights or Tyson's blowouts vs crap comp during his 2 year prime :D Before Mike got stopped by the "great" B Douglas

Somewhere in between. I'm actually pretty pissed that Peter was allowed to take that beating.

It was a one sided beating which I like but there was too much holding. Peter seemed to want to hold most of the fight to avoid getting hit.
