Was Klitschko-Pulev on American tv? What were they saying about it?

The crew repeatedly referred to Wladimir with the term "legendary paper thin jaw" as if it was still 2006. They need to get with the times.

If anything, Wlad's jaw is more brittle now than it ever was.
Have you not seen his fights the last several years including today's against Pulev?

Anytime Wlad gets hit, no matter the power behind the shot, he's visibly stunned and affected by the connect.
There's a reason why he fights how he does and thats because he's conscious of the fact he cant hold up against a good clean shot.

Stop your nonsense, you know damn well Wlad cant take a good clean shot because he goes to pieces.
He has'nt been knocked down in that time frame because he fights in his own backyard and is allowed to get away with murder with the excessive holding he exhibits.

Wlad's holding has now gone beyond that of the clinch master himself John Ruiz. Totally embarrasing.

He's fought everyone who would have the best chance to "expose him" and they haven't done it in quite some time. Haven't come close... There just aren't any good HW's anymore. Wladimir is great at what he does though. Great discipline.

If you are referring to Pulev's jab at round 1, it was mispositioning, he obviously wasn't hurt/buckled by that.
How come he didn't get knocked out (or even down) by Wach's heavy right hand? Many Wach is suddenly not a puncher anymore?
Pulev connected some hard shots as well, but Wlad almost routinely clinched his way out of trouble and responded immediately.

Or you are suggesting that the sole reason Klitschko wasn't knocked down for almost a decade if because of referee and holding? He was obviously hit hard many times during that period.

He's fought in Switzerland, Russia and America twice since he was last knocked down. He must have a lot of houses with backyards. I've seen him hit flush in that time by Peter, Haye, Wach, Pulev, Chagaev, Povetkin, Thompson and Brewster. The number of times he's gone to pieces have been zero during this time. If his chin were that bad somebody would have put him down in that time. If his chin were that bad one person in over sixty fights would've one-punch kayo'd him no matter how much clinching he does. Nobody's that lucky. He doesn't have a great chin but people need to let go of this gross exaggeration about it. It's delusional.

Vlad, at no time was hurt in the Pulev fight. Vlad got caught by a right in the 5th round, then very quickly came back with a left hook that put Pulev down for the count. Vlad does not have a bad chin at all, Steward said that. Hell Lewis was knocked out by McCall and Rahman.....................did he have a bad chin? Vlad's theh best, should get to fight the winner of Stiverne/Wilder. WOW, look at Wilder's opponents....................................all bums from the gutters............

I watched the broadcast again alone a few minutes ago. I had a group with me before. I want to say this: I think I was wrong about Kellerman here. I think he was actually a little impressed or at the least showed genuine respect for Klitschko's career in general and I think I was reading too much into it when I watched it earlier. We were also having a conversation directly about Kellerman as it was happening and maybe it colored my judgment a little bit. Got a very different vibe from him when I wasn't distracted. My fault.

Wladimir is arguably THE best fighter in the world at the game of "hitting and not getting hit" in my opinion. He really, really knows how to avoid taking even 1/50th of the punishment he deals out. Pulev had no power and wasn't going to trouble him with anything regardless, but Wladimir has perfected the art of avoiding clean punches.

The ONLY fighter to EVER legitimately beat Wlad is Corrie Sanders. Every other boxer who beat Wlad took a shalacking before Klit punched himself out. No one ever out boxed him, except Sanders.

Early in the fight wlad was definitely wobbled a bit from a jab but let's not get carried away he came back to crush a challenger that many had hyped . Thing is we can't also get carried with wlad's destruction of pulev as pulev turned out to be a poor challenger his head and upper body movement must of been on holiday . Which against wlad when fighting on the outside is a one way ticket to sleepy night night land . Also I agree with someone else in another thread where I read that wlad defensively look more open and is this a sign of his slipping at least on the defensive side of his game

I feel sorry for all those haters who still do not accept that Wlad is a great heavyweight champion. He has no glass chin and never had. It's an average chin but for sure no glass. He can take a shot but he is very cautios and why shouldn't he? The guy is a complete package, technically, physically and mentally and there is no need for him to take risks.

    Haha, this is dumb.

Blowing your wad early and getting repeatedly tagged, hurt, then knocked out while gassed is among the finest examples of your opponent out boxing you.
