Was Kovalev always overrated?

Not over rated, he was winning the fight until the early stoppage... close fight, sucks it had to end like that

 

No. He just looks mediocre against Ward. He actually looked better in the first fight.

 

Now the man is a bum? Classic denial and deflection. I guess GGG is overrated too, since a guy with cancer and Kell Brook after a knife wound battered him around the ring AT THE HEIGHT OF HIS CAREER.

I had him ahead by like a point but still think Ward didn't really care about early rounds that much anyways. He's happy if he picks up one or two and then proceds to break fighters will.

Ward is a true professional. Kovalev kind of looked mentally weak in the weeks coming up to the rematch and it showed in the fight.

True elite fighters have mental fortitude. It only shows up when the going gets tough. Ward has it, Kovalev doesn't.

 

na not at all. I actually thought he would beat Ward if it was the same one that had fought Pascal or B-Hop. He may not ever be that same guy again now after this. Every fighter will know that he lost and have seen it happen...they won't be as afraid anybody that fights him now

No he is world class but ward is elite, Kovalev is a bully, just like all the posters who wanted to see ward get seriously hurt, wanted to see his downfall, Think the more angry you are the better you fight etc. Ward is a good dude, a bit of a diva yes but boxing is brutal business you have to be, People don't like the fact he walks around with his head held high, That's what hes supposed to do, not walk around with his head down like all of the haters do in real life.

Ward is the truth, the truth will always beat negative bully mentalities

Its the same with floyd, hes a good dude and lives life on his own terms, walks around with his head held high lives how he wants with no ****s given. people can't stand it because they have to conform to what other people want.

 

What does that say bout Ward? He was outboxed by Kovalev in the first fight, and was behind in this one by most sensible cards.
