Will Wilder come back from a beating like that or is it all over bar the shouting like when JC ***** slapped Lacy all over the ring.

Was worse to be honest. Wilder got dropped multiple times, was concussed and battered by round 3 and was bleeding out every hole in his head

at least lacy made the final bell, wilder could have been damn killed in there last night

No, I believe Lacy had more skills than Wilder.
Also Lacy took a worst beating.
That is why the corner threw in the towel.
Imagine 4+ more rounds of that.
Lacy was ruined that night. I don't believe Wilder is.

Lacy took his lumps like a man, so did Wilder, just wonder what the long term mental effect will be now the myth and aura around Wilder has gone.

Worse, Lacy went the distance, Wilder was finished.

Wilder was done after 3 rounds, he wasn't coming back after those first 3.

As excellent as Fury was.. and he was, Wilder took a beating and tried to hang in there, he didn't quit, he was pulled out, he deserves some credit for not quitting and throwing himself on the floor.

Probably just as demoralizing. Although I'd imagine Wilders team will spin a few excuses like it was a freak ear injury that coast him the fight and blah blah blah

Fury vs Wilder III would be career suicide at this point. Wilder's people will want to rehab his career very carefully and that should mean taking 9 to 12 months off before taking a tune-up/get well fight.

It reminded me of Lewis vs Tyson in that one guy was getting pummelled around the ring in prolonged, devastating fashion. Both fights had points near the end where it was getting worrying to watch from a medical stand point.

It was a Wildering. A one-sided epic ass whooping on your home soil in front of your friends, fans, and family on a deck stacked in your favour on ''Judgement day''

At least Lacy had the stones to travel over to Super Joe's backyard, soak up a hell of a beating and make it to the final bell, on a deck that was stacked against him. Granted they thought Super Joe was way past his best and ready for the taking after being dropped in 2 of his previous 5 fights and shattering his metacarpals again in his previous fight. However, Jeffrey gets extra points for being man enough to travel over into the lion's den whereas, conversely, Bootleg D categorically refused to do the same against Fury even though the later had already fought him over on his turf when he was a mere shell of himself.

No because Lacy had better fundamental skills than Wilder's which are agricultural to say the least.

I think he's good, just as long as he never steps into the ring with a overweight giant that moves with the grace of a ballet dancer.

Wilder was saved from a potentially debilitating KO. Lacy's team would have done him a massive favour if they had pulled him out after 7-8 rounds.

He'll get smoked again in a rematch. He's pretty much ****ed now but he's a millionaire so it's hard to feel sorry for him. If he leads a sensible life he'll never need work again.

George could box though. Sure he wasn't as flashy as Ali but he didn't look like a guy who could max out a carnival punch machine but had never stepped in a professional gym either.
