Was Leaving Sky For Primetime For Khan Good Or Bad?

Seems to me he didnt have any choice. In my opinion PPV is damaging his carer . Figures of 60,000 and hoping for 100,000 are scary low.

On another note alot of Irish fans would have bought the McClousky fight to say they didnt is stupid that fight was big news over here.

 

What else could he have done? Sky weren't even interested in getting the Bradley fight on PPV.

It doesn't really make a difference anyway, most of his cash will be coming from the US market from now on. He could do his UK fans a favour though and put his fights on ITV instead of primetime.

 

Sky will jump at the chance to work with Khan if he fights Mayweather at some stage

 

By the nature of Primetime's connection to SKY, SKY's PPV market will always be bigger than that of Primetime's, and their budget far greater.

The only reason someone would be on Primetime PPV is if SKY didn't want them.

The moment SKY wants Khan back on PPV, it will happen.

 

I said a few months ago Sky should dump him and concentrate on Froch - tongue in cheek really - and it's hilarious the way it has turned out. Absolutely brilliant.

I said then no one gives a toss about Khan and the assertion that he is young and is a long term investment is completely illusory because there are not that many marquee fights out there for him, and he will lose very soon imo as well.

Fair play to Sky for ditching him.

 

You are missing the point completely. Sky hyped the **** out of the fight and got most or Ireland behind McCloskey. By the time Sky pulled out, all the Irish fans were already hooked, or already bought the event.

Sky's marketing of the fight is what got all the buys, it was nothing to do with Primetime.

 

Bollocks... It was the Irish factor that got the majority of buys...

 

Anyone thinking the Irish factor was not a significant in the total buys is deluded.

It works both ways, the English Irish rivalry aids in creating buys in both the English and Irish markets. It's not just about how many Irish buys there were.

If the confirmed Khan-Judah buys exceed the Mccloskey Khan buys then I'll stop posting.. for a week.

Hardly feasible to use Froch's Primetime experience to forecast Khan's, Khan is a household name in the UK, on the other hand hardly anyone who doesn't follow boxing knows who Froch is.

 

khan even with skys packing sold very little on ppv i doubt that primetime and zab can make up for the lost of skys media machine

 

He'll survive, if he goes onto face the likes of Mayweather, Manny Sky will be running back.
