Was Lennox a 'dirty' fighter?

    The more i watch of his fights, the more u see the "use" of questionable tactics. For example

    -Putting his opponents in a headlock in the clinch.
    -Leaning on the back of his smaller opponents
    -Laying his left hand on his opponents face to blind them/rangefinder (Bruno LOL!) and coming over the top with the right hand
    -Hitting while holding in the clinch

    I really don't have a problem with it. It's not like it's blatant cheating like Sam Peter's "quadruple" rabbit punch. :lol:

    Wlad has alot of Lennox Tactics these days as well so if you want to lable one you lable them all or just be a man and accept the fact that its part of the ****ing game son, if you dont like things to get rough in that ring DO NOT BE A ****ING FIGHTER.

    chill out dude. it's a simple question. i wanted to hear opinions, not more klitschko hate. and yes i realize wlad has began to incorporate a lot of these tactics but the question wasn't about him.

    I said he was a dirty fighter, but then again, most fighters are. One of the dirtiest was Ali, another dirty fighter is Holyfield. And Duran is certainly capable of being dirty as well. The list is almost endless.

    Too bad you can't find a gif of his fight with Mike Acey.

    Lewis hit Acey 3 times when Acey was down.

    Good thing Acey didn't pull a Luis Santana/Montell Griffin and flop on the floor.

    Yes he was but he ALWAYS got away with it.

    I can only recall Eddie Cotton taking a point from him in the Tyson fight and everyone(in the UK at least) where saying it was pro US reffing.


    Lewis got away with it mainly because he is seen as the good guy of boxing.

    Before he fought Klitschko remeber he said he'd hate to lose to a White man because White people have it easier in boxing, but once again it was virtually ignored because Sir Lennox of the courtroom said it.

    true but then again isn't their a difference between guys that rely on cheating in large part to win and guys who utilize it to a lesser extent and use less blatant fouling

    eg) Lennox/Wlad compared to Peter

    Bit of a difference between using it now and again and basing your entire gameplan around it, i.e. Hatton a.k.a. Ruiz Jr, Ruiz himself, and the goat hearder

    Look all fighters use dirty tactics, leave it at that dont just lable one man so you can suit a future arguement down the line, Mayweather is also a cheater he uses his elbow illegally all the time, Hopkins is as dirty as dirt itself, look like I said all fighters use dirty tactics its part of the game.
