was Lennox Lewis unfairly labelled ''boring''

I think the boring tag come from a few of his fights where he outboxed his opponents, broke them down to the point where they were a blatant KO waiting to happen.....and then sat behind his jab for the last few rounds and refuse to finish them off when he easily could have.

Everyone knew how explosive he could be and so got a bit frustrated when he passed on easy opportunities to blast people away.

This... And the fact he was not American did hurt him during his reign. I can say that. Now, everbody is fans of all fighters not dependent on region. When Lewis would open his mouth it was just rah rah rah..stfu euro black dude.

zeljko mavrovic, ray mercer, frank bruno, vitali klitschko and shannon briggs. any person who deems lennox lewis a "boring" fighter obviously hasn't seen any of these five classic encounters. lennox proved himself and then some as an exciting fighter. I think what hurt him is the fact that his loyalty was questionable in regards to where he came from, as well as the fact that he's somewhat of an intellectual.

How should I know, Wladimir threw two jabs and then the power got knocked out.

Exactly this. But I'd add Lennox sometimes had a tendency to have to get riled before snapping out of a coma. I don't know what it was with him but occasionally he'd seem cold and stiff until somebody unleashed it on him and wake him the hell up, maybe start to **** him off. When he was on he was pretty great to watch, I think.

That's the easy way out, but not true. Plenty of American fighters are boring too, they don't get half the credit Lennox does.

Lewis was a great champ, but not a great entertainer. Lewis was awesome IMO. Yeah, he threw in a few bad fights, but when he was on, he was a force.

I never found any of his fights boring and I have seen almost all of them and if they were it was his opponents fault not his
