How can one of Lewis' 3 or 4 worst performances in his entire career be the greatest heavyweight win since 2003?

Vitali Klitschko has a pretty weak resume ........ and it was even weaker in 2003.
Can't say I rate him much at all.
"prime Vitali" is overrated. His credentials are losing fights to Byrd and Lewis and a win against 38 year old Sanders.

Good win for a 37 year old Lewis though, grinding out a defence against a strong and spirited challenger. But can't really elevate it as anything more than that.

I disagree Vitali had won every round against Byrd. He was told he would never be able to use that arm if he went on. He was also ahead on the cards against Lewis when it was stopped due his cut. He would have beaten Byrd if he fought one handed the rest of that fight and he was likely he was going to beat Lewis too. He was never knocked down. That is a tremendous accomplishment.
