I think Loma was just very annoyed, he felt embarrassed, you could see it in his face

I think it had nearly no effect on him at all other than ego.
He was clear eyed when he went down, his head didn't
bobble at all (his neck absorbed the shot just fine), if you
look at how close his feet were together when he dropped
it was more balance and force of the shot that drove him
    back than anything.

Knees gave out and was a bit of a delayed reaction. He was definitely hurt but wasn't on ***** street, he behaved like a true champion and recovered.

Was Mikey Hurt when he got dropped by the same shot against Rocky Martinez? He stays down for 6 or so seconds but he doesn't look hurt to me when he hauls himself back up. Like Loma, he definitely seemed embarrassed and surprised he went down though.

Whereas in this video Crawford doesn't go down but he's definitely hurt and his legs do a funny dance and appear a bit wobbly. It takes at least a minute for his head to clear completely too.

I didn't think he was hurt, really. Maybe momentarily stunned. Lost balance a bit. Clean knockdown, though.

He was a bit stunned because the rest of the round was fought with precaution, still he did well with the recovery especially since he was able to gather himself in the corner less than a minute after. I personally thought Loma was more hurt by a right hand Linares landed around the 4th round that no one has even mentioned from what I’ve seen.

All in all it’s a good win for Loma, we all know Linares is super talented but he’s vulnerable. If Loma didn’t stop Linares with that body shot it was going to be a tough two rounds with Linares gaining confidence whilst timing Loma and showing the power to damage him. I hate being the voice of reason sometimes but I get the sense folks are misinterpreting Lomachenkos pockets of struggles in this fight as some sort of anomaly. Loma with all his fluid dance like footwork can at times be predictable with his constant repositioning to his opponents side/flank, he even slipped and fell because of it over usage. The man is called the matrix for a reason but he’s shown he’s reign at the top will won’t be easy when fights talented men his size and bigger that aren’t intimidated by his footwork. I think the adversity and reality check is a good thing for him. I have no doubt he can become an ATG I just don’t think he should travel anywhere near 140lbs.

It all relative and depends on the persons inherent reactions. I’ve been hurt by punches that look like nothing from an outside perspective yet in same breath completely unfazed by monstrous shots absorbed right in the chin that I barely noticed until I saw my sparring session on video.

KD was due to complacency and over confidence imo. Literally walked straight into it, i don't think it puts any questions marks on his chin.

    probably a good learning experience.

Yeah some shots that don't look that bad do a lot of damage, whereas sometimes it's the complete opposite.

Absolutely, that’s universal, helps when you see them coming.
