Cant really duck someone from a different division. And its not a fight that was even negotiated.

Vasyl Lomachenko explains why he turned down Manny Pacquiao offer

“I was amazed when they offered me to fight Manny Pacquiao, it became interesting. He is a legend, a big name and a top fighter,” Lomachenko told boxing.ua.

“I am not going to accept the fight this year. However, if the bout takes place next year, they’ll just tell me I sent the old man to someone else’s weight category. There are many champions in my weight division, and I’m going to continue my career in this direction. Modern boxing, modern names.

“If I decide to finish my career tomorrow, I am not going to ask some guy from a lower weight category to conduct the farewell fight. It’s good money, but that’s not why I’m fighting.

“Me and my father, we both just know it (fighting Pacquiao) will not give me anything,”

When you're switching from 130 to 135, you can't "duck" a guy fighting at 147.
Loma (and his manager) just shouldn't have claimed that one of the reasons for his reluctance for this fight was that Pacquiao's "old and shot". That claim looks rather ridiculous now.

    Fair enough.
But regardless, it's not a duck if they are in different divisions.

Loma is doing everything to avoid actually having an ATG legacy.

How is this guy ducking all the big fight's?

Loma obviously didn't fancy it. Career high pay day against a 'washed up' legend and the chance to become a cross over star in the US.

Pacquiao clearly isn't the force he was 10 years ago but he still has fast hands and power and I think at 140 he beats Loma

In other words "Im too small for Manny". Did you not see how stocky Manny looked last night? Thurman is a much bigger puncher than Loma and he caught Manny with some flush shots and Manny kept coming. Ive said it for a long time and Ill say it again Manny is too big for Loma and its not even debatable. Size is more than just height and reach.

Are put it to Loma and loma’s dad turned it down even at 140.

And loma’s excuse was he was too old.

He coulda just said different division, but apparently it was the age thing. Lol

Pac said he can make 135 right now but don’t want that stress. He’s happy to go to 140 though.

He’s only big cos of his age. Same way Duran was a MW cos of his age. He was never really a MW.

Pac is a LW sized fighter at WW. Loma is a FW fighter at LW.

After last night I can actually see Loma beating Pac. Pac doesn’t have legs anymore to keep up with lomas angles and he will get picked apart when he runs out of stamina after 8 rounds.

Pac’s Shot. That was his last hurrah.

Well, age was a factor as well.
Manny is old. There is no denying that.
And 140 would still be a climb up in weight.

Please just stop with calling out Loma above 135. He is a little guy. Pac is a much bigger guy than Loma. But regardless if we were to turn back the clock and have Pac face Loma at 130 when they were both in their prime I think Loma outpoints Pac. Loma is a truly once in a lifetime talent. Manny is too but in a different way. You will not see another 8 division champion EVER.
