Was Lomachenko robbed against Salido?

No. No robbery as it pertains to scoring. The extracurriculars, however, are unfortunate. The low blows and shanking the weight were a shame. But I give Loma tons of credit for stepping up so big so early, taking the loss and building on it, and showing that he is a top, top operator.

 

No. Loma is not a warrior, he ran around until the 9th and had no plan of attack. Salido was ****ing drunk hours before the fight and beat his ass half sober. Loma is a Top Rank hype job that Rigo will reduce to journeyman.

 

I thought Loma lost a close but clear decision. It was a very tough style for him to deal with in just his 2nd pro fight.

Salido did what he does best- he brought the aggression and went for broke in that fight. His workrate in that fight was the difference, regardless of the low blows that occurred.

Loma should've stepped up his work rate from early on and he would've had a solid chance to win.

 

I wouldn't say it was a robbery, but it was a fight they could have easily given to the "Golden Boy" (guy they were trying to hype up). It was an extremely close fight. Salido didn't do **** the whole fight except low blow, use head and other dirty tactics; basically whatever he wanted because the sh*tty referee didn't do anything about it and Loma didn't have any pro experience so he didn't know how to react. Loma had a difficult time pacing himself. He didn't really getting his rhythm until the second half of the fight.
But trolls and haters are going to live from this official "defeat" Loma has and they're going to act as if Salido completely shut him out and beat the **** out of him.

 

half of the punches that salido landed were low blows, so if those are not counted , then Loma either won it or it's a draw.

 

He wasn't robbed, the decision was fine but he was cheated, I'll say that much.

I had it 115-113 to Lomachenko, but I have no problem if people even had it 116-112 to Salido.

Ultimately, it should have been a DQ victory to Lomachenko. It was an absolute farce of a fight but I'm so happy Lomachenko wasn't given the decision, otherwise he would have continued to fight like that, thinking it's ok to be overly economical and amateur point-scoring to the nth degree.

 

Absolutely not. It was a close fight, in no way can a close fight ever be called a robbery. Easily a draw.
