Was Lucian Bute one of the biggest hype job that got exposed in modern boxing?

People always get wrong in boxing.

No, I don't think he was. I still believe he's a good fighter but he has some flaws in his fighting ability, as opposed to boxing ability, and he can't take a good punch. He's not a hype job, he just has flaws. He may have met his match in Froch but I believe he'll win world titles in the future.

Not sure a second devastating loss would be good for the future...

(not saying the result will sure be the same but hard not to acknowledge the possibility...)

 

No hate, but ya all seems to forget that how big expectations there was for Bute vs Carl Froch. This wasn't a close competitive fight, i would go as far to say this was probably Carl Froch's easiest fight since AA

I've heard more bull**** about this or that fighter has "no chance" against Froch in large part due to the Bute win.

If Bute loses in the rematch, I'll be the first to man-up and say I was wrong.

I think you didn't watch Bute boxing many times. People are not cheering for a hype.
We already compared Bute's record and it's not much worse than of Andre Ward.
Only Carl Froch met the best fighters of the super middleweight division.

It's lame to compare Bute with Lemieux, he's the biggest boxing star in Montreal of the many last years.
