    Hear me out

I know that his resme won't show this but I go by eye test when I rank my fighters.

Personally I think Ortiz would have beaten anyone in the division apart from post stiverne 2 wilder.

It isnt his fault he was avoided and messed around with for years.

In terms of pure talent he's up there.

There's no version of him that was better than a contemporaneous Povetkin (and that includes the shoddiest versions of Povetkin we saw)

Vitali and Wlad are top 2. The rest is musical chairs with Fury, Joshua, Blond Ortiz, Wilder, and roided Povetkin.

If he fought the K2 bros 10x each, Ortiz would have about eighteen losses, most by TKO (and ices Wlad maybe twice)

I never saw what others did in Ortiz, sure he could box better than most as often the case with Cubans but after all the hoo ha about him, when Hearn got him a few showcase opponents in Europe he looked very ordinary.
Wlad cops stick for not finishing Joshua,Ortiz really ought to have finished Wilder as he was always gonna outbox him.

Beats me where people get these notions from.

Off the top of my head, AJ, Parker, Wilder, Povetkin, Wlad, Fury are all ahead of him. You can probably add Pulev, Takam and maybe Whyte to that list. Was Haye any good 10 years ago? Add him too. There's probably guys I missed.

In terms of pure talent, he is considerably behind Solis.

His break out and arguably the best performance came against Jennings, after going back and forth for 6 rounds. Less than a year later, he was sloppy in a dull fight against Scott and everyone was already saying that he was too old.

Klitschkos beat him by KO, Ibragimov beats him by wide UD, Pulev likely decisions him, and Povetkin brutally stops him. Just to name a few.

No, not even close. Why he got so much hype off one win is baffling. Yeah it was an impressive KO but Jennings fought like an idiot and serious how good is Jennings. Jennings most notable fight is a loss.

Ortiz is dangerous if you stand right in front of him and trade but give him movement, force him out of his counter punching style or simply out work him and he looks far from invincible or even that good, he has flaws that can be exploited like any fighter.

Wilder beat him, so would Joshua, prime Fury would of danced circles around him, Povetkin too would of likely out worked him in a competitive fight. Hughue Fury would make him look bad with his movement, might even steal a decision if he tries to engage, Parker would give him a tough fight too. Haye in his prime might have beaten him at his own game with his speed and counter punching. Vitali would of toyed with him.
