Santos was pretty much man handling Margarito.

I was at the fight live and had Margo up one at the time of stoppage. But the last rd Santos had really rocked Tony.

No he was losing on two and winning on one. Loss via technical split decision.

Nope. The fight was fought on even terms.

Based on what? The fight was prety damn even in my eyes, and in fact I had Margo ahead at the time of the stoppage. If the fight were held any other place other than Puerto Rico it's conceivable that Margo would've gotten the nod over Santos.

To be fair, it was EASILY the worst performance Margarito has ever put in the ring...he looked like an amateur in this fight, when he usually fights MUCH better.

Santos was ready to go by the time the fight ended. You can dispute that if you want but the look on his face when Margarito had him on the ropes doesn't lie. Two more rounds would have been hell on him.

The ringside officials saw Margarito still as strong as he was midway, and Santos was tiring. The cut was no problem. Then the officials no doubt saw the scorecards and immediately called a halt to the fight. I have no doubt that is what happened. Crooked officiating.

It was pretty even but Santos seemed to be fading fast and Margo was coming on strong at the time of the stoppage. I noticed someone mentioned they were the same size but I clearly remember the "day of" weights being listed and Margo came in as a middle (160 lbs) and Santos came in as a light heavy (170lbs). That is NOT the same size.

Santos was running and looked to be on the down side while Margo was fresh and still bringing it, I however had Santos up by the slimest of margins had the fight continued I think Margo would have won. I think Santos and Margo have lots of unfinished buisness to take care of, should Margo beat Cotto.

Santos was well on his way to being KO. Santos was also alot bigger than Margarito. Margarito had picked up alot of steam had won more rounds imo. The fight was in Puerto Rico, Santos is Puerto Rican, instead of leaving the Rican's with a bad taste in their mouth, it was decided to unjustly stop the fight and award it to the home town boy. Nothing new in boxing.

no it was an even fight though i though the momentum was swinging in MArgarito's favor heading into the championship rounds. We'll never know.

I had it 5-4 for Margarito but anyone who says Margarito was dominating is blind as a bat
