Was Manny Pacquiao defamed or not?

  1. Of course he was. Every single *****, Marquez, and Mexican fan all say he's guilty of using PEDs. Before Team Mayweather, no one said ****.

It was a suit grounded on principle, Pacquiao was not making $BIGDOLLAZ$ with his complaint, in fact he was spending it on his lawyers, just to prove a fact. That is what honorable men do. Meanwhile Floyd Mayweather just disowned his words to avoid a few days jail time. What a ******.

ehh, really sticking your neck out on this. Are you Pacquiao's manager by the way? If not, exactly how do you know what he loss? And yes, the libel did unfairly discredit Pacquiao in the public. Unfairly, because there was no proof or evidence procured.

Settling out of court is a show of concession. Mayweather conceded on a settlement to avoid a more public record, court-wise.... BECAUSE he knew that he'd lose cuz there is video evidence against him. THAT IS WHY you do a settlement out of court...

To tell you the truth, i think there's a good few of us here that got really annoyed by Mayweather's mouth, dirtying up another boxer, and nothing was being done about it.

Finally, someone has been able to hold Mayweather responsible and accountable for his actions.... well, i guess he got jail time for his other disgusting behavior.

I love the dood as a boxer, but as a person of character, he's rather disgusting.

Pacquiao the second highest paid athlete of last year, as a matter of fact he made more then he ever has last year. i wouldn't say he was hurting money wise. Also saying no one credible really believe he was on peds.

There were neutral fans who were swayed by Floyd's accusations.

I guess I'm really talking media, the multiple endorsement deals he has landed since mayweather started accusing him. The guy has only gotten more popular since, it has not hurt him Politically in his country as he was elected in the senate. I believe the people that were swayed are because of Pacquiao's out right refusal to take the test, then wanted cut off dates and so on. It made him look kind of guilty, but I think he may have just been offended.

One guy won't fight, and the suit wasn't about the fight but Pac's overall career. And, if any, the suit just made the fight closer to reality, with Floyd spending money on lawyers and settlements, the fight getting more publicity, and Floyd hating Pac even more.

LOL no. That's not the way to look at it. Pac has been riding the crest of his popularity and the upsurge was more because of his past work. Now with regard to PED allegations, think of the Lance Armstrong allegations even before the findings this year. IT AUTOMATICALLY DIMINISHES PERCEPTION OF THE ATHLETE. Now while Pac's popularity may have increased, it increased IN LESSER FASHION than it should be, because of the doubt cast upon his performance by PED allegations.
