Was Marciano REALLY superior to Frazier?

Now heres a legit topic. I would favor Marciano as superior offensively,two handed fighter,better body puncher etc.
frazier was faster and harder to hit though.Also had much greater work rate and pace. Those comparing them in the ring with ali,well Marciano had more reach to make up than Frazier so its a more difficult fight for him.Frazier actually beat Ali ,im not sure Marciano does and I wouldn't expect him too, unless he fought the same night that Cooper did. Frazier also didn't cut ,Marciano did and easily so theres that. The total packaged fighter? I would go with Frazier but H2h its a pickem fight for me.i know Bonevena almost stopped Frazier in two rounds at one time.

Marciano and Frazier are the two best pure swarmers that the heavyweight division produced, by a very considerable margin.

You can debate which of them was better (I personally favour Marciano), number three would be a long way off.

I think Marciano is better p4p than Frazier. By that I think he has a better skillset and is less beatable against men of his size.

That being said the gap is very small. And given that Frazier has a one stone advantage it becomes a case of bigger being better.

So I would favour Frazier to win purely because he is bigger.

 

I read an interview with Frazier where he was quite affronted to be compared to Marciano,saying he saw himself more as a heavyweight Henry Armstrong.
Marciano had one edge because he had two handed power.Against that he was cut prone, and significantly slower than Frazier, less intense and more methodical.
Frazier has 20lbs on him, faster hands, and was quicker into range. I'd give Marciano a slight edge because of his two handed power, but I would not bet on this fight.

 

Frazier had a wonderful right to the body and right uppercut. If you are ignorant of that after seeing all the film on him, I just really don't know what I can say that will make you any less stupid.
