While I sympathise with your righteous indignation here, I think your concern would be better directed at the question of who they defended the title against?

 

Hard to beat Marcianos title fight wins. A who's who of excellent fighters with the exception of ****ell. Not many fought such terrific back to back opposition.

 

We've been through that part already ad nauseam. Some of us aren't as impressed as you by wins over aging light heavyweights (one of them, Ezzard Charles, in a career tailspin) and a fading Joe Louis.
