His opinion of Rocky's power versus Sheppard's and Durelle's would logically seem to be valid ,since he fought all three and no one is better placed to offer an informed opinion. As he didn't fight Louis he can only offer the same opinion as the rest of us ,ie his own impression .

No, it's just a super literal interpretation. Like you said a few posts ago, if we are to to treat every word as the bible, Durelle and Sheppard hit harder than Louis too. What is more likely, Rocky and Louis hit harder than both of them, or the other way around? That's part of the process of weighing a quote against it's context, and other variables. Moore may have, and probably did, talk to many people that he fought who also fought Louis. He is working with a much richer context than us.
It's common sense. Moore could go to gyms, and spar people who sparred Louis, and talk to them afterwards.
Supposition .Moore never ever saw NY until 1944. Again, thanks for the entertainment but I'm gone now.Mastermind is onTV.
He didn't have to see NYC. Enjoy it. One quick note before you go. Proofread your awful writing if you're going to be a spelling nazi. Ty.
