Was Mares TOLD to throw low all night?

    No question that the ref was on the take, but I'm trying to comprehend the sheer number of low-blows Mares threw.

    OK, he's not the cleanest fighter I've ever seen, but (correct me if I'm wrong) I don't recall him ever being anywhere near THIS dirty before.

    - And Agbeko wasn't fighting in a style that would tend to make Mares' blows extra low.

    So, do you think his corner told him: "Don't worry, the fix is in and you won't get called on it, so throw low all night." ???

    I can think of no other explanation, and if this is indeed the case, then Mares is a guilty as anyone else in this travesty.

    Probably... it's a corrupt fight.

    Let's see how's Agbeko's protest will go. I hope GBP didn't forget to pay-off the IBF too or else they will be in big trouble.

    I'd like to see the State Attorney General get involved in this one.

    Sadly, he's probably been paid off just like Mora.
