I've not heard the usual complaints about PPV surrounding this fight but I do see a thread about HBO being bad for boxing. If this fight was free then it was much better value than most recent PPV's and hopefully there will be more match ups of this magnitude to watch that arn't PPV. It doesn't really effect me anyway as living in the UK we get most of them on Setanta except for Hatton and Khan fights lately which are about £15 on Sky Box Office. I guess Mosley will be PPV next time if he wasn't this time!

Right, I guess there is an annual subscription to get HBO and whatever channels come with it. How much does it cost? By free I just meant not PPV.

I can't believe Chavez jr and some of the other fighters recently that have been HBO PPV and Mosley vs Margarito was not.

Chavez Jr. has never headlined an HBO PPV. All his ppvs were independant and distributed by Top Rank.

My mistake, I clearly don't really know what I'm talking about. How much were they then?

I have no idea. I've never had any desire to purchase a Chavez Jr. fight. If I had to guess, I would say $30.

I live in Denmark where a lot of the fights aren't showed, so I am stuck on waiting for them via not so legitimate channels the day after the fight. I would gladly pay 50 $ for a fight.

    God bless Setanta! :good
A great channel that broadcasts all the major US PPV fights for nothing (It's inclusive in my virgin package i pay no extras for it)

You guys have got it good in the UK. In Australia all the major fights are generally PPV even the ones that are not PPV in the States, such as Margo v Mosley.

It was on regular HBO, and got one of the higher ratings HBO has gotten for a boxing broadcast in years (3.6 rating - that's about 5 million viewers).
