Was Marquez deliberately and repeatedly stepping on Pac's foot?

Actually I think this video proves the opposite case.

Some of its claims are false. I can see JMM doing the stepping several times--or trying to with that big leap forward--that it says is Manny doing it!

Then when Pac did do it once, he then backed away instead of taking advantage.

And of course, I am old enough, and other things, not to be a *******, so don't go there.

And I have not yet been able to see good video of the whole fight, so I can't give my score. From what I did see and hear, it seemed JMM won it, but I cannot give my final word until I score it from good video with the sound off. It may well be that PAc won more squeaker rds, when I finally tally it up. But will have to wait till Sat.

I must admit that Marquez was riding Pacs foot but I have to believe that it wasnt on purpose because its not in Marquezs makeup to deliberately cheat. Hes a warrior , not a cheat and if Pac thought that he was doing that by design he would have said something to the ref or his corner. Especially if he was getting hit in the mouth every time it happened. Either that, or he would have adjusted and moved his dammed foot out of the way. I cant believe he is that careless.

Please site examples for the rest of the rounds. I want to see. IMO Pac's leads with the foot and did not stomped on it and he threw a punch simultaneously with the foot attack. JMM, on the other hand, stepped on the foot, then delivers a 3 punch combo. Funny though I think JMM got countered with a foot stomped in one of your examples the second one I think :)

When you get a good video to watch, instead of looking for "foot stomps"...look at the actual tactics and foot placement Marquez was trying to achieve. He was trying to time and get the punch off before Pacquiao, this was all based around foot placement and changing the angles up.

Not sure waht u r saying though re the foot stomping?

From all I have seen including photos or videos of JMM taking a huge unnatural almost leap with his lead foot, it seemed deliberate as part of a strategy to hold that foot down as he launched his punches.

On the 12th watch jmm step on pac, pac got away, jmm follow by slightly twisting his body and over stepping. It was ****ing hilarious like it was some tango or something.

Obviously this is not deliberate :patsch

And this photo shows how JMM back foot is so far back, and his lead foot takes that huge unnatural leap in to get onto Manny's lead foot. So clearly here he was not rushing in with both feet. rather his attack was predicated upon initially tieing down Manny's lead foot.

Well if we concentrate on the gif in the opening post, what do you see?

Pacquiao threw a lazy jab, Marquez timed it to near perfection, dropped his knees, repositioned his feet inside of Pacquiao's lead foot, not getting it entirely there (his heel was partially on Pacquiao's foot), landing the right hand, but continued in the direction he was going, throwing a couple more shots after their lead feet were not touching.

Marquez's tactics were spot on in this bout, his footwork was excellent...if we ignore the usual orthodox-southpaw clash of feet.

Well I know this too. He did fight a brilliant fight. So I am not saying in general he didn't. But there is still what appears to be all that deliberate stomping, and I still don't know how legal, or not, that is.
