Was Marvis Frazier That Bad?

    George Benton was the logical choice since he was the one originally working with Marvis while Joe was on tour with his band, and credited for Marvis's success as an amateur. Joe pushed out him out however by the time of Marvis's pro debut. There was no way Joe would want Futch after what happened in Manila. Joe has even said that he's not the type to ever throw in the towel as a response to the Holmes fight due to his warrior mentality and likely as contempt for Futch.

    He would’ve ended up with the same win and loss column, maybe worse, if he tried to be a boxer mover.

    Yea even though its dramatic to witness a fast devastating knockout he probably took less damage than a guy who goes into the mid or late rounds.

    I feel sorry for Marvis Frazier (and his career). There is no shame in losing from ATG (possibly the top 10 ATG).
    He should have been CW, IMHO, he's not a bad boxer at all.
