Matthysse won the fight big. Bradley won big and so did Kotelnik. Alexander is a cheat!

What happened to appealing obviously crooked decisions? What happened to countries standing up for their own athletes, like Argentina here, or like Russia when they stole Valuev's belt? What happened to that phony commy mafia ***** john mccain and his phony clean up boxing bit? What happened to the totally corrupt legal system that can't send Don King back to the jailhouse where he belongs?

Its funny most of the people here defending Alexander are the ones who complained most about Froch vs Dirrell, which to many was just as close:p
The problem in my eyes is simply loyalty, we all watch our fave fighters with a biased view, or atleast a lot of us do:)

    I gave Matthyse rounds 1, 4, 7, 8 and 10
    Alexander 2, 3, 5, 6 and 9

95-94 for Matthyse but I thought rounds 1 and 6 could have gone either way.

It's always tough for a fighter like Matthysse. He was treated unfairly in both of his losses IMO. He will struggle to draw big names now because not only is he a difficult opponent who would usually be avoided by numerous fighters, but those who want to avoid him can use his losses against him and claim they don't want to take a step back. There are some serious flaws with this sport.

Even those who think Alexander won, only give him a 1 point advantage.

One judge scored it 96-93 Alexander, and they claim the fight wasn't fixed?

    Morons.

In a ten round top-level fight, it's bound to be close. That's why there's judges. Professionals who are supposed to be able to distinguish between effective boxing and ineffective boxing.

    Um, yeah. Source?
    :deal

Yup, bringing in that Kotelnik judge should never have been allowed. The Missouri guy had the right score, and oddly enough the Puerto Rican gave that wide margin to Alexander. Something isn't right there.

He did that once or twice. Alexander was hugging a lot so it evens out. And the phantom punches he wasn't landing must have had some serious power behind them, given Alexander's drunken condition in the 7th, 8th, and 10th.

The guy who won got the L. That is a robbery. The fight wasn't hard to score. If you gave Alexander every single possible benefit of the doubt and totally ignored everything Matthysse was doing, the best you can come away with is:

    DA-LM
    1.10-9
    2.10-9
    3.10-9
    4.8-10
    5.10-9
    6.
    10-9
    7.9-10
    8.9-10
    9.10-9
    10.9-10
    95-94 Alexander

That's the most biased scorecard possible. Anything more for Alexander is dishonesty, not simply bias. What I've done there is given Alexander every single round in which he wasn't having the **** beat out of him. The fact is that Matthysse won at least one or two of those rounds, which would swing the score to 95-94 or 96-93 Matthysse.

The judge who scored it 95-94 Alexander was one of the guys who gave Alexander 116-112 vs Kotelnik. Clearly he has a style bias, which is why he was chosen. The Puerto Rican judge (who was probably brought in to give an impression of impartiality and then paid off) scored it 96-93 for Alexander. That is an impossible score. Alexander would have to be given round 7, 8, or 10--all rounds where he struggled to survive. The Missouri judge had it correct: 96-93 Matthysse.

    The man was robbed hard.

Just absolutely amazing over 300 people voted here and approximately 94 % believe it was a robbery. That is why Larry Merchant is a rare breed and you should never listen to the majority of the media. Merchant has been with HBO so long his job is secure for as long as he wants. The other announcers besides Lampley need to play the game and support their bosses fighter.

Matthyse landed all the important and meaningful shots, scored a knockdown and won
no less than 6 rounds. Devon has a hard time keeping top tier fighters honest as he has no mustard on his shots and lacks defensive skills.

This was a bigger robbery than the Sturm as at least Sturm landed the more effective damaging shots and was much more efficient.
