I've watched this recently and it was better than the first time I watched it. Even though it was a decisive Mayweather win and a tactical affair (of course due to Mayweather), there was alot of entertaining exchanges and telling blows landed by both. Mayweather was also tactically aggressive when he needed to be. I think the hype towards the fight, plays a significant part in how this fight is viewed on an entertainment level.

It was a miserably boring fight. We saw a semi-shot Pac devoting all of his time to pure boxing, unlike the prime ferocious Pac we once knew.
When two fighters have a very low output fight, with every round won/lost by a single light, clean tapping jab or one singular right hand with no real noticeable power behind it, we know we're witnessing an uneventful (and razor close, I must say, intra-round) fight.
Also, it was a fight marred by excessive hugging and running during moments and the referee just allowed it to happen.
When we see two of the generations legends collide, we want to see a real fight like the greats of old had given us.

Pac added to the disappointment by revealing that he had fought while injured. Made the fans feel cheated on purpose.

It was sad just thinking what it could have been had it happened in 2010...maybe in 2012...but 2015? no. Should have been at 140 in 2009 or 2010. What have either fighter done since 2015? nothing. They are prettty much shot and spent. It was a cash out. sad.

Would have been twice the fight it was in 2015 had it happened earlier.

All I remember from this fight was Alex Ariza chest kicking Freddie Roach. The fight itself was still a chess match...but nothing exceptional in terms of physicality shown from either man like we've seen before.

It's like big blockbusters that are anticipated. Media and marketing tell you it's going to be the greatest thing ever, and then you watch it and you're like wtf. That's all that happened. Neither fighter could've been as advertised and Floyd makes nearly all of his fights anti-climatic.

Yes it was boring but that fell mainly on Pacquiao who didn't do **** for the majority of the fight.

Except land more punches and authoring the only 2 significant sequences in the fight and pressing the action the whole fight?

    LOL!

Pac just never was a good enough fighter to beat Floyd.

I rarely find a boxing match to be boring, even more so when it involves top notch fighters. Clearly this fight would have been more exciting especially from a build up for the fans point of view. But I believe the action and result were what we would have gotten 5 years earlier. Although both guys were no longer in their primes, I don't think they were like a faded and declining Frazier-Ali III type of condition, and people call that one of the best fights ever??? So I found it very entertaining from a boxing standpoint even though I am not a huge fan of either guy. Floyd was to skilled to ever let this evolve into a war or anything other than what it turned out to be.

Trying to come up with a boring fight? Perhaps RJJ-Hopkins I, both guys way to respectful and hesitant to engage

It was alright, I've seen worse. It was a anti climatic but these fights can be. Certainly not one I've rewatched in a hurry.

It was like a movie with high expectations that probably would have been OK if it wasn't hyped.
