You can laugh all you want, the guy is right

Great boxer, but nobody likes him outside the clique of nuthuggers, and he's fairly dull

Nobody gave a **** he was fighting Floyd Mayweather. Nobody has heard of Floyd Mayweather. They have probably forgotten who Floyd Mayweather is.

People know Khan, Hatton, Calzaghe, Benn, Eubank, Lewis, Tyson, Bruno

i do not know american numbers for mayweather v hatton

the telegraph newspaper is quoting 1.4 million uk sales but no official figures have been released until the end of january so this number could be inflated or way out.

was the 2.4 million number you quoted the official american ppv numbers for hatton v mayweather ?

Just bear in mind theres 300 million people in america and 60 million in britain. Would 450,000 people in america stay up till 4.30 to watch PBF? I doubt he'd do 450. I watched the fight with 8 friend - 6 of which had never even heard of floyd till he signed to fight ricky so how can he possibly be a draw?

American numbers were 850,000 for Hatton-mayweather

The 2.4 Million was the primetime fight for Mayweather-DLH. Which did 2.4 US numbers.

    What's your point?

My point is that nobody here knows who the **** he is. Believe me I know, because I spent half the night explaining to people that he is actually quite good, and is the betting favourite

They didn't pay to see Hatton vs Mayweather. They paid to see Hatton become the #1 fighter against the American baddy

No - the american baddy coulf of been george bush and ricky still would have done those numbers! they paid to see ricky become the best fighter on the planet. Do you know how many buys PBF-DLH did in the Uk?? None - it wasnt even on ppv!!!

Whats the next highest PPV sale Ricky did in England?

Nope, all Mayweather brought was status because Sky told these people so. He could have been called Jack Sparrow. It's obvious that the status makes it a bigger fight, and hence it was marketed like I've never seen before. But they didn't pay BECAUSE it was Floyd Mayweather, which is the key point here

Floyd Mayweather was just a sideshow

People paid to see Ricky Hatton. You don't sound like you know very much about how people see boxing over here. The average Joe wouldn't be able to name a single American fighter, so how the **** can he be part of the reason?

Im asking, what was the next highest PPV Hatton did? They hyped the fight over there like you said, because they used P4P and the best in the sport, etc etc. But they could use that because it was Floyd and people took to it to see Floyd lose to Hatton.

Can Floyd pull those numbers against another fighter over there? No

Will Hatton ever get close to that number again? Probably not. I dont think hes even done half a million buys over there.

The one where he had the chance to become the best fighter on the planet. Half the people who bought it couldnt tell you now who he was fighting - trust me. If they built Lovemore Ndou as the P4P no1 fighter and ricky signed to fight him it would do 450k. Rickys appeal in england transends boxing - he appeals to everyone and everyone wants to see him achieve his "Dreams". ( sorry that sounds a bit cheesy just tryin to get a point across! )

I can't even remember what Hatton fights were on PPV to be honest, I'm not a huge fan. But of course he was noway near close. That's the whole point I'm trying to make, those fights didn't get the same marketing, or have the big prize at the end of them

Mayweather did those PPV sales by default, because he's the man at the moment, but it literally could have been Butterbean and if things were done exactly the same it would do the numbers

450 isn't even half of what Mayweather-Hatton did. Thus proving my point it was both fighters.

If they did bill Ndou as P4P number 1 that would be a lie and that would quickly come out as false advertisement.
