I agree that Tyson was still in his physical prime but that does not tell the who story. Bhop's physical Prime is long gone by it is his mental state and dedication that has kept him at the top of the heap. We, as fans, tend to forget the psychological aspect of the game and the importance that it plays. Pac lost focus against JMM and was drawn into masterful counter. I would argue that Floyd seemed distracted early against Chino but had the mental strength to turn things around. Cus kept Tyson rage focused, without Tyson's rage was released on the world . . . away from the ring.

 

So would Frazier . . . I would die if someone could create a time machine to make that fight happen

 

if you are going to win the title when very young, theres an increased probability of you losing it whist young too. If you aren't going to win the title young, you are never going to lose it young. The younger you win it, the younger you can lose it.

Do you mean in terms of dominance in his era or head to head? If you ranking champs for what they accomlished in their own era id say Johnson, Dempsey, Louis, Marciano, Clay, Frazier, Foreman, Holmes, Holyfield, Lewis and Wladimir are all ahead. To me, Mike is more in that Max Bear, Vitali Klitschko area in all time standing. I gotta put mike ahead of Liston though because going 2-1 intitle fights just doesn't get him over Mike.

If you mean head to head you have to include the big guys imo because a big reason why a lot of champs from past eras would get run over is because they are too small. Joe Louis is just too small imo. Rocky also.Marciano and Balboa.

 

I would have like to see him fight Roy Jones Jr. after the Ruiz bout although he was already washed up. It would have been more competitive than the LLewis bout which happened 6 months earlier. Winnable in fact considering that Roy got KTFO by Tarver.

Ah yes, Vitaly was too busy winning 6 world profesional kickboxing titles to win a title younger than Mike. Question for you Harol....who won a title in less fights and less roumds in profesional boxing, Mike Tyson or Vitaly Klitschko?

 

the UNDISPUTED title, that is THE TITLE, I would say Tyson by a long stretch by winning it only a few years out of school - vitali hasn't done it to this day, and was NEVER capable of doing it.

furthermore to your crap post --- Tyson won his first MAJOR title inside 20 months with more wins and fights than vitalis much more long distance route with fewer fights in that time, and for a much lesser title.

 

If you go by winning A belt, Mike Tyson is the Youngest champ ever but Vitaly won a title in fewer fights/rounds than anyone in history.

If you go by unified champion, Floyd Patterson is still the youngest man ever to win the title and Mike only was champ for 18 months.
