mike came before all of them. none of the guys u mentioned dominated in the same fashion as tyson. which one of them unified? bowe and lewis both dropped belts to avoid opposition.

I havent denied you said fights/rounds.
I HAVE TOLD YOU THAT THE TIME TAKEN IS WHAT COUNTS. Tyson did it in less time transpired, PERIOD. Time transpired is what counts. End of Argument.

YOU APPEAR TO BE IN DENIAL OF THIS FACT.

and now you are pretending you've been hard done by when you know your point failed to stand up in real terms.

He and OJ gave birth to this annoying media gotcha culture we have now, they were such huge stars that when they did what they did, everyone tuned in to see the interviews or trials, gave them huge ratings and the media has been chasing that "high" ever since.

    MMA Fan, and boxing NOOB

Spinks was an "easy fight"? :patsch
Tyson made it easy. But a lot of writers at the time were picking Spinks to outbox him.

He only gets overrated when people say he's the greatest ever or that he'd destroy a prime Ali, Lewis, Vitali, etc. '86-88 Mike was a one of a kind talent who would likely beat many atg heavies. What obviously makes him unique was that, like Frazier and Dempsey, his prime was so short that it becomes really difficult to rank him p4p.

Probably the most overrated fighter of all time. I mean he was great don't get me wrong (I have him at about #11 alltime at hw) but if you ask the casual fan the common thought is that Tyson the best ever which is just not even close to being true. Man you ask any Joe Blow on the street and they will be convinced he could beat Ali, Foreman, Lewis,Klitschko, Bruce Lee and Optimus Prime all on the same night.

he couldn't stop everyone, far from it, strong chins and survivor mode with a strng jab can keep him off, though it means an inevitable points loss.

If one calls him the greatest ever, then he's being overrated. If you say he isn't an ATG, then he's being underrated.
He had a short but magnificent run that gets glossed over sometimes because of the upset loss to Buster.

By that stage, he had lost interest in the sport to a large degree, was a raging alcoholic with a drug problem and was barely training, even in the fights he won easily.

Most of the greats were surrounded by good people and lived a reasonably clean, stable life. Tyson was raging chaos, and it's quite amazing that he achieved what he did considering all his mental issues and problems outside the ring.

Holyfield is greater than him no doubt.

    Tyson is greater than Bowe.

Lewis is JUST ahead of Tyson, due to avenging his rematches, beating Holyfield and Vitali and retiring at the right time, other than that, the gap between them isnt that big.

Both of them have similar resumes.

How was Tyson fighting easy fights?

Ring Magazine, had Spinks as the 'real' champ. Tyson was accused of ducking Spinks and Ruddock for a number of years.

Ali and Eddie Futch picked Spinks to school Tyson
