How the hell can anyone argue Tyson over Benitez? Tyson @ 20 vs Benitez @ 17.

Ffs, Benitez did it at 17 against the greatest JWW to ever live. :patsch

It's one of boxing's greatest wins and accomplishments.

It will never be replicated again.

That's BS. It's way easier to punch down. Use your brain.

and yet, when I say Benitez might be a handful for Floyd, more often than not I get challenged. Go figure.

I would say it's harder to aim down then it is to aim up.

It's all opinion,u can't slate someone for it if they r not just talking **** to degrade another fighter.hindsight is a bad thing, people who have zero knowledge or some issue with a fighter will slag someone down in the sense tyson regressed beyond belief just wach tyson at even 18-19 and tell me he wasn't better than who Douglas beat.
It's common sense, all the talent and skill in the world can only get u so far if the dedication isn't there.
Ppl say tyson never beat anyone and lost to Lewis Holyfield etc.look what Tyson did to Holmes about 6 years b4 he was competitive till the final bell against Holyfield.tyson was phenomenal, did u ever here even one person at the time he was with rooney even suggest any weakness or degrade him,Tyson head 2 head at that time would anihilated anyone for me.he got knocked out by Douglas and ppl slag him for it,watch how many full blown punches he takes thru that fight,he had a gut ffs, early Tyson would end that fight early and anyone with common sense knows that

Here's the thing Benitez was younger and had the better competition than Tyson.

But the heavyweight division a million times more physical. It's one thing to go in there and start beating the **** out of 140 pound men.

It's another when they are 220 pounds and carved out of stone. It's harder for young guys to compete at heavyweight. It just is.

Tony Canzoneri has a title by age 18. Mickey Walker and Terry McGovern won titles at 19. Pacquiao picks up one at 20 like Willie Pep. Duran picks up his first title age 21 like Benny Leonard and Mayweather Jr. Julio Cesar Chavez captured one at 22 like Ali, Sandy Saddler, Billy Conn, and Stanley Ketchel. Joe Louis captures the title at 23, as did Barney Ross and Ray Leonard. Gene Tunney, Roy Jones Jr., and Eder Jofre 24. Robinson, Armstrong, Whitaker get theirs at 25.

I don't care about physical shape, how one requires so much more training at the HW division. It's true!!! But that doesn't give him the edge over Benitez.

The fact is: Benitez did it at 17 against an ATG, the greatest ever JWW to live.

Tyson did it against a non HOFer, NON ATG, a chump compared to someone like Cervantes. It's not close.

If their opposition was closer, then I might agree with OP, but it isn't.

So that's where the difference is.
