Was Mosley-Margarito one of the most EPIC beatdowns of the 2,000s?

I must've watched that fight about 10 times by now. It's one of the most satisfying manhandling I've ever had the privilege of witnessing, from beginning to end. This is one of the main reasons why Shane is one of my favorite boxers of all time.

 

Yeah without the pads Margo was nothing. even with the pad, he still sucks until he lands of course. Shane used Margarito as a heavybag. Margo made Shane look like he was in prime again.

 

Calzaghe-Lacy was worse....coined the phrase "to Lacy-fy" someone. And it occurred in 2006 so I believe it fits this thread.

You will not find many examples of the champion eating flush power punches from the challenger as consistently from a regarded puncher in modern boxing. Margarito took an insane amount of punishment and dished out maybe the least punishment he ever dealt out that I can remember with him. He could have been wearing brass knuckles instead of gloves and still been brutalised. Mosley had a plan, he stuck to it, he knew he had him, he never went off script and he was merciless. It was an epic past-it performance.

 

That was a ****ing beat down no doubt, visit the old threads if they are still around American fight fans were talking about How jeff is this middle weight Tyson going in..... it was quite as **** after the fight round these parts

 

Those bodyshots were killing Margarito as well. If only Cotto would have went to the body just a little bit he would have had a little more success. Unfortunately he also doesn't have Mosley's chin.

He went to the body all he could and it didnt do a damn thing, what happend in the Mosley fight.... well the fight was moved from Vegas to LA giving Shane the green light to roid the **** up which he did.

Margarito was out there celebrating the Cotto Victory a tad bit too much and came into camp very heavy, This is per Bernard Osuna ESPN.... anyhow crash dieting will do that to ya.... especially when the fighter on the other end is using steroids....

Shanes performances leading up to that fight and after that fight also prove this
