Was Mosley-Margarito one of the most EPIC beatdowns of the 2,000s?

No Kidding. Mosley was just going to land at will on Floyd because he and Margarito are so similar :nut

    His last great moment.

I was nervous about the fight due to him losing to Cotto, and now his facing the guy who trashed Cotto.

Everytime Tony launches an offense I cringe.

Then the rounds piled up and I was thinking okay, Shane will win by points if this keeps up.

    Then the boom came down.

Mosley didnt want the Floyd fight at the time he choose to get a payday in fighting DLH but he still choose not to take that fight..... if I recall right Floyd did call him out

No Mosley still had to win a few before Oscar. beating Rivera and Wise was good stuff considering their status at the time. He couldn't make LW anymore, he was 155 against John brown at LW on fight night :nut

I remember how most on this board laughed when the fight was announced, including me.

At the time I feared for Mosley mostly because he has no jab. I figured if he had no jab, Marg was just going to barge in and work him.

As it turned out, the punches didn't even seem to phase Mosley, which really lends credence to the pads theory. As Roach mentioned, some of Marg's sparring partners said Marg's power was overrated, while other sparring partners he hit like Tyson.

I dont think he couldnt make the weight anymore I think using steroids caused his ass to jump up two weight classes like that I mean look at the muscle mass he had going into the 1st DLH fight....

Honestly believe he has been using steroids for quite a long time

Maybe but he looked ****ing HUGE against Brown as well at lightweight. Maybe he did use to go up in weight? It's not out of the realm of possibility.

    Great win for Shane.
In hindsight Margarito was weight drained & emotionally out of the fight & Mosley was "Juiced" to the gills.

    But great win.
