yeah no denying mayweather is by far bigger, dont think we needed a thread for that, one thought on their earnings gives you the answer straight away

 

Mayweather has a showtime contract that will pay him no matter how many PPV buys . PPV buys for that fight were around 700-800k.

And please dont pretend to tell me random girls on your facebook stayed up until 5am to see Mayweather fight Robert Guerrero . And talked about him schooling him.

If Floyd Mayweather is a once in a lifetime fighter..? Why do boxing fans and also casual fans, constantly complain about him being boring..? Technically Floyd Mayweather is the great defensive fighter, but his offence does not compare to his defence. That is why he does not knock guys out, or beat guys down, it's why he struggle's to throw combinations. Manny Stewart pointed this out, and stated that he is not as fluent in combination punching as Roy Jones Junior or Sugar Ray Leonard. "It was during the Baldimor fight"....

I don't think Floyd Mayweather is a once in a lifetime fighter, he's not doing anything Roy Jones did not do..? even better. He's not doing anything, Sugar Ray Leonard didn't do even better..? and these guys entertained.

Why is he a once in a life time fighter..? Because he is 44 - 0..?

He's a great fighter, but not a once in a life time fighter.

When you out match somebody in the speed department, skill department, defence department.

And can still only land single shots..? You are not a once in a lifetime fighter.

His fight against Guerrero, it shows me why Mayweather is great! But also..? It shows me why he's not a once in a life time fighter.

None of Floyd Mayweather's fights are iconic. None of them burn iconic images into your mind, because of his ability. He lacks that magic, that totally transcends money. Mike Tyson brought that magic, Roy Jones brought that magic, and so did Prince Naseem Hamed.

Actions speak louder than Words and Money.

 

I don't even know if this makes sense...but..

Mayweather is bigger and that is a fact, you only need to look at the numbers. But Naz caught the imagination of sports fans more than Floyd has. It's taken Floyd a while to get to this stage, fighting De La Hoya and Hatton to a lesser extent really helped Floyd get to the position he is in today - those two had enormous fan bases and it boosted Mayweather's profile no end.

I think Naz appealed to non boxing fans more than Floyd, although that may just be my perception because I live in the UK.

 

Who's watering at the mouth to watch Mayweather's next "Once in a life time" performance..?
