To all the people saying that Clottey beat Cotto, can ya at least put up a round by round scorecard saying who you felt won each round please......

    Cotto rounds 1 3 4 6 10 11 12

    Clottey rounds 2 5 7 8 9

under my old user name I had it 8 - 4 Clottey.
    Gave Cotto 1, 6, 11, and 12th.

Well Bama even though YDKSAB:D......I do respect that you at least put up a round by round scorecard.

You gonna be up in the morning to watch Team USA get gold against Spain?

....I heard about a little cut over Cotto's eye...or something like that. But from what I hear...it was just a little scratch....-(

Yeah, Cotto struggled to make weight against Clottey. That's why he showed up at 146 pounds, a full pound under the welterweight limit.

    :patsch

Why don't you just retitle this thread: "More proof that Cotto was weight drained against Pac- IsaL"

Cotto struggled against Clottey because of Clottey.

This happening in the 3rd round may have contributed as well.

Because Clottey proved to be a difficult opponent. What kind of excuses are you trying to make here?, the Clottey from the Pacquiao doesn't all of a sudden represent Clottey's entire career.

What helped Cotto here is that Clottey never keeps firing, he had Cotto hurt badly many times but never kept throwing, that's what Clottey always does. Cotto has issues with active aggressive fighters.

It's possible. The other possibllity is that Cotto is not as good as he's made out to be.

Or Clottey is actually a solid opponent with obvious limitations such as stamina and consistency?

The Clottey that performed against Pacquiao doesn't define his career.

    No it wasn't.

Cotto's confidence was still shakey, Clottey presseured him and the cut was a bad one.

Style wise, Clottey matches up well with Cotto, so it was always going to be a difficult fight.

Get Pacquiao's **** out of your mouth. :patsch

Cotto moved up to 154 because 147 was hard on his body. Cotto moved up to 147 because 140 was too hard on his body. Guess what he weighed on his last fight at JR.WW? Oh ****! 138!!!!
