Paulie can give anyone a tough fight at world class, but he is not world class IMO. He has been in some tough battles over the years and isn't the type to duck fighters so credit for that.

Paulie is a very tidy boxer, and is durable.

A knee, an elbow, more than one punch thrown over his shoulder with his back turned... how did Broner not have three or four points deducted?

Had Paulie winning 115-113. Broner is just not very good especially considering Paulie is just about shot

The problem for me is what someone stated earlier in the thread that broner under performed. In football if wolves beat Chelsea 2-1 they don't give Chelsea the win at the end because everyone knows they're really the better side

So what you're saying is that paulie deserves more credit for being soundly beaten by hatton and khan that burns does for beating Martinez and katsidis.

You're also saying that Senchenko is world class because he held a belt but Martinez is not despite being a two-time champion.

No-one is even talking about Burns apart from you. It's actually quite sad how much it means to you to get a rise out of billy nelson.

Froch is one of those fighters that doesn't get the credit he deserves because he doesn't look that great, he's in great fights but his style is not aesthetically pleasing. He's one of those fighters that are much better than they look, the opposite of hype jobs like Bute and Broner.

It wasn't close at all. Paulie was hitting arms and gloves all night. Broner won it easily.

The tit also keeps blabbing on about Burns ducking Broner, failing to see the blatant duck Broner did skipping 140 to fight a powderpuff past it PM.

Where have I failed to see it?

I hated the fight from the minute it was made. Paulie was clearly carefully selected due to his inability to punch.

    Ricky's fans are very touchy.

i totally agree billy . i dont know what fight he was watching. going with his last few performances i would back burns to beat him. He reminds me of andre berto, against the lesser opposition they look good but when they meet world class fighters they go into a shell. i had paulie up by one rnd but thought a draw wouldve been a fair result. I just dont think broner throws enough punches to trouble burns. You also have to look at the size of burns who is two or three inches bigger than broner and has arms as long as an orangatang . Do you think the fight can still happen billy?

Ricky's 30 yes but he was a late bloomer, won his first world title at 27. Froch is also a late bloomer. How long did Hatton and Calzaghe fight lower end world level fighters before stepping it up? Those two spent years fighting below par guys in world title fights.

Martinez is the WBO super feather champ you clown. Paulus Moses just won a paper strap against Mzonke Fana ( tko 4) Fana is a fighter a few on here thought could beat Burns

I had it a draw, Paulie was landing to the body all night and had a good workrate, Broner when he did let his hands go was the better fighter but he would land a couple of punches the sit back and admire his work for the rest of the round, Paulie out landed him almost every round.
Problem is paulie can't punch for **** if he could Broner would of been in trouble.

Its a hard one to score because paulie was outworking him easily and was landing
with is patter patter punches mostly to the body, but when broner did his flurry he looked the boss but that was once a round so its what you prefer quantity or quality.

I had Broner by 4 rounds, some were tight but at times when Paulie was throwing 4's and 5's Broner would land 2 clearly, decisively and more effectively. certainly wasn't the performance from Broner many talked about on here. In fact I think he is being completely overhyped at the minute. He said he didn't need to use footwork, that's just lazy,If not bs and that attitude could well catch him out.

Also if Broner had the 2,possibly 3 points deducted he should have then it would have been a draw,or a win for Paulie. The ref was crap and the points made by Paulie were damn true, apart from his robbery claim, not for me anyway

now were not all experts but love boxing and just looking at the poll tells you the judge that gave it by 6 rounds should be sacked
