Pavlik gave Martinez a very tough fight and adapted to his style well then lost on the cuts! Miranda probably dented his chin though.

 

lots of late night **** that was covered up pretty well which is crazy considering how hard it is to cover stuff up these days. There was a lot of speculation from the area that his staph (which was a true story) just wouldn't heal because the amount of booze he was running through is body didn't let the antibiotics do their job. also heard he was hit or miss (pun intended) at the bars. one minute he's buying rounds a taking pictures and later he's picking fights. sad really. i was an overly obnoxious pavlik poster back in the day and wish he would have stayed the course a bit better but its his life.

Pavlik is overrated mostly by Americans and usually white ones , he beat in Taylor a pretty weak champion who is forever himself overrated as he beat Hopkins. Let's be truthful people Taylor beat Hopkins on his style that's it , pavlik beat Taylor purely on his ability to take a punch and keep going against a champion in Taylor who gases down the last half of the fight and has a habit sticking his chin in the air when he gets tired .
