Was Pavlik really 111 degrees four days before the Hopkins fight?

According to Pavlik fans, Kelly was battling symptoms of the bubonic plague, AIDS, and tuberculosis when he got his ass schooled by Hopkins.

But... but... but it would've been a different fight if Pavlik wasn't sick!

Man, I'm only gonna say this once (and might edit and delete the **** after I know you got it LOL) but I had Spinks winning that **** too. n St. Lous, and Little Rock aren't too far apart, ya know? I DO feel though that was also a "friend" thing, and Taylor didn't want to hurt his friend. Whatever though.

I think we saw a whole NEW JT after he lost to Pavlik, ****, he don't even wear the red trunks no more, just serious black (Tyson-esque) outfits now. PLUS he's back to his roots where he was rockin' on his way up...Ozzel Nelson!! I believe he's way better for JT.

On the money part, couldn't agree more. Maybe it was his Olympic Medal, but he was gettin' MAD money pushed at him before he'd had to go thru the "fire" to really earn it. JT is human and he was young, you know that **** went to his head. Let's not forget 2 things too. Lacy is obviously not what he once was, but he's still no tomato can, AND that was JT's first fight back after losing his first 2 professional fights. He, I'm sure had to battle off more demons than the punches Lacy was throwin' his way.

I honestly feel, JT is BACK!! The hunger is BACK!! It's time for the REAL JT to please stand up, please stand up!:D

For those who don't know, and ignore it please if you just intend to be an ass hole.... www.jermaintaylor.com

    :good:goodGO TAYLOR!!!!!:good:good

With all these people saying Spinks beat Taylor, I'm wondering whether I was too drunk to score it properly or you guys were.

The sad thing is I can't even revise my card...I'd have to watch it again.

Just ask Manny Steward after rounds 10 and 11 who was winning that ****.

Think about the fact too that Spinks "really ran" for all of round 12 with his hands already up (victory style), and think about it. I hate to say it, like I said to Scar, JT is in my top fave's, but that was a pathetic performance....for whatever reason.

The Ouma deal, JT gets a pass from me on. I mean he was nailin' Ouma so hard on the way in, that I almost couldn't watch no more. It was NASTY, but that little ****er is truly made of bricks that night.

Remember, Spinks was "brought in" after Mora backed out because he said Memphis was too close to JT's backyard. St. Louis and Little Rock arent' too far apart, and it's likely to think they "kick it" together once in a while. Still, it was JT's job, and he didn't do it.

Nobody was. Not even the fighters :lol:

If neither fighter LANDS anything, I give the round tot he guy who threw the most. Not the guy who skirted around like he was runnin from a crazy ex.

I can't even discuss the fight any further because I've tried to block it out of my mind.

I also believe so man and hope it's true, just think Steward wasn't right for him, he just went downhill from that OR it's the winning far too much way too early in beating Hopkins. Only true answer is his future performances, him moving up in weight is the perfect move and I just hope he dominates SMW even though Kessler will be REALLY dangerous the Froch test and how he gets it done in that one should seal the deal. I loved the way he fought in the rematch with Pavlik, he was doing everything right BUT he held a lot of his punches and for good reason, hell for someone that got KO'd the way he did to immediately rematch and go the distance in a competitive fight after being KO'd in the way he did sure as hell is courageous and proves a lot of heart. Just hoping his desire didn't completely go out the window after he fell short even in the rematch.

I'm picking him to destroy Froch too and if not by KO then by UD, that's what I'm expecting and hoping to see him provide as that's what he's CAPABLE of providing if his mind's in it and I know you understand what I mean as you're a true JT fan.

    GO TAYLOR! :happy

Taylor might have won it on many people's scorecards but let me admit something that I just can't help sometimes while scoring for fighters I'm a big fan of. Usually when I see an A class fighter I support performing shitty in a fight I expect WAY more out of him I tend to be negative with my scoring and criticize every single mistake. Another good example is my scorecard of DLH/Mayweather where I scored the fight for DLH even though many tend to laugh at it or consider it ridiculous. When I see a fighter I KNOW has the tools to do better against certain opponents and performs like crap I tend to be negative in my scoring, have to admit that.

I think Taylor was having weight problems longer than anyone realized. I think he will be fine at 168.

You should be able to take solace in the fact that Carl Froch is no Kelly Pavlik. I don't give a rat's ass how many times Froch's supporters make that comparison. I wish I could remember the exact thread where Brickhaus broke it down. He nailed the differences perfectly. If Jermain Taylor from the Pavlik rematch shows up on April 25th, Froch is goin' to school. If you give JT a 5% improvment over that, Froch is going home early. Jermain is WAY to fast for that stumble bum.
