No, I thought Povetkin was going to win but I was trying to also make a point.

Why you doing that? Why dont you just go off your own standards of what youve seen Joshua doing instead?

My standards? I believe this bout is still pretty much a mismatch. Since Povetkin would have 0 advantages in this match up.

Well then if thats how you go about posting whats the point of anybody on here listening to what you have to say? Cuz you constantly say things you dont mean because your trying to make a point, or you give your opinion on something but for some stupid reason you climb in to the mind of a "fanatic" to give your response.

Your either just trying to wind posters up or your a moron, either way you talk alot of ****.

Ummm ... he's the more skilled fighter and better combination puncher and AJ's gas tank sucks balls?

I favour Joshua because he's a giant, powerful and younger fighter that's also got skills. But Povetkin has a pretty decent chance here.

This. Takam did everything right when it came to getting in range with Joshua, but just didn't have the punch to hurt Joshua. Whyte had the timing and power to find Joshua and hurt him, but didn't have the gas tank to finish Joshua off. If Povetkin can get inside and go to work and doesn't gas this is easily a 50/50 fight. That said even though Joshua has an average chin he recovers quickly, so if Povetkin manages to hurt Joshua he has to go all in finish it, since a stoppage is his only chance of winning.

Also, I agree that even at almost 40 Povetkin is a much better fighter than Parker.

You'd be correct if Povetkin was still in his prime. Which was a few years ago.

Current Povetkin is a SHOT FIGHTER and at an age when every other past heavyweight great / champion was either retired or losing to far inferior opponents than Anthony Joshua. This is a FACT and not an opinion!

Current Povetkin arguably has an inferior gas tank than current physically primed Joshua. And Povetkin's combination punching at this current age is arguably not any better than Joshua's. Considering reflexes, timing and mental sharpness are very important factors and those attributes decline significantly at the age that Povetkin is currently.

SIZE + AGE disadvantage for Povetkin makes this match up a mismatch in favor of Joshua. Prime Povetkin is a different story though!

Povetkin is not shot. Agreed that he's not prime, and he's a bit stiffer than he used to be ... maybe his gas tank is smaller too. But he's still very dangerous and I'm one of the guys that thinks he destroys Wilder. Joshua is going to be much harder because Joshua isn't that easy to land clean on. But he still has a healthy chance.

Fair point! And I hope you're correct, even though I don't see it quite the way you do.

LOL you can say the same thing about Povetkin's performance against Takam. Povetkin stopped him and Joshua coulnd't.. needed the refs help.

Looks like you're learning from your mistakes. You gave Wladamir Klitschko ZERO chance of beating Anthony Joshua and that turned into a FOTY contender with both men tasting canvas and being hurt multiple times.

Povetkin is still a real deal at the age of 39. God an olympic medal, had an awesome amateur career and a pretty good professional one. Of course he can win.
