one thing people are forgetting is the old saying in boxing that is STYLES MAKE FIGHTS. after the demolition of khan i immedietly thought about Vernon forrest and what Mayorga did to him. Vernon is clearly the better boxer, but mayorga took his heart and soul and vernon has never exercised those demons. i'm sure khan and prescott will see eachother again and maybe next time prescott will make it even worse and willingly take khan's best shot and laugh at him.

STYLES MAKE FIGHTS has never been so true.

it didn't last long enough for us to find that out, who knows. Khan is not close to being a world class pro boxer and his punch resistance is some of the worst even seen in a high profile fighter.

Mayorga had a big of pedigree going into that first Forrest fight, he had overwhelmed and sparked out Six Heads in a pretty high profile fight. I backed him at 6/1 that night to beat the then super-hyped Forrest.

The problem with this theory is that Khan was sparked by the first guy he fought who was as big as him,in his prime and had a KO punch.
He was his Bogeyman because he wasnt at a disadvantage. He could potentially have loads of bogeymen.

Vernon had beaten game opponents and had justifiably earned his spot as one of the divisions best. Far more accomplished than Khan

I dont know what you would call Prescott. I have never seen a fighter hyped as Khan beaten by such an unknown.

He set a new precedent actually. He was ranked in the Top 10 at 135, and he was walloped by a fighter not even ranked within the Top 100.

    Quite Remarkable.

STYLES MAKE FIGHTS? hahah , ok so anyone who has any power what so ever is not a good style for Khan. Khan is going to sure have a lot of Mayorgas. Just face the facts, Khan has many of the tools but is missing one of the most important- a chin. He will never be a champ

i'm not comparing the status of the fighters, but the styles. khan/prescott was a forrest/mayorga on a lower level. the looping wild hooks and the supposedly slick boxer

i was looking more at the styalistic match-up not saying either had achieved what mayor or vernon had.

prescott is also a young prospect and the only difference between him and khan in the rankings is a inflluencial promoter. lets see prescott might do something, he's huge at 135, young and clearly can bang.

only time will tell, one thing is for sure khan will either go one way or the other and we have to see what prescott goes on to do

    Who does he beat then?

Now that his guy is exposed and he can't handle pressure at all he would lose to:

    Manny Pacquiao
    Joan Guzman
    Juan Manuel Marquez
    Michael Katsidis
    Nate Campbell
    Juan Diaz
    Joel Casamayor
    Yuri Romanov
    Julio Diaz
    Ali Funeka
    Urbano Antillon
    Zahir Raheem
    Fernando Angulo
    Jesus Chavez
    Anthony Peterson
    Jose Santa Cruz
    Rolando Reyes
    Ranee Ganoy
    Yusuke Kobori
    David Diaz
    Paulus Moses
    Edner Cherry
    Jonathan Thaxton
    John Murray

    Add to that:

    Humberto Soto
    Edwin Valero
    Kevin Mitchell
    Rocky Juarez

If they stepped up to 135.

I had the same thoughts but at least Forrest could take a punch. Khan maybe does not have what it takes to be in the pro game.

it was hyperthetical, the dude said khan potentially could have alot of bogeyman, but potentialy he could also beat some really good fighter and maybe prescott will be his only bogeyman, unless he avenges it

    kevin matchell? zahir raheem? :patsch

ever heard of styles make fights

crucial word being maybe, no one can say for sure and its all hyperthetical at this stage. khan could prove that prescott was just his mayorga and go on to big things or he could go the other way, i'm not that fickle to say khan should retire as some have stated. :-(

Don't think Prescotto has got anything else but a punch and Khan has showed a real glass chin :nut
