If we take Carnera's decade as from1930 -to1940
    I'd say
    Louis
    Baer
    Schmeling
    Sharkey
    Schaaf
Are all better and I'd include Braddock too.

A very short list, with a couple of questionable calls.

Jack Sharkey's record from 1930 to 1940 was 5-6-2, including a KO loss to Carnera.

Ernie Schaaf was killed by Primo Carnera. Carnera was better than Schaaf.

Carnera was among the top heavyweights of the 1930s. He won 72 fights in the 1930s and was the heavyweight champion of the world for two years.

In addition to Ford Smith and Don McCorkindale and Ray Impellitierre, so were Hall of Famers Tommy Loughran, King Levinsky and George Godfrey. So was Walter Neusel and Ernie Schaaf.

    Carnera beat them all.

Twice claiming the win over Schaaf as noteworthy relieves me of any obligation to respond to this further.

Do you honestly believe Carnera's punches were responsible for Schaaf's death?
Hype Igoe reporting ringside for the fight."the only way I'll believe this is if Schaaf dies."
If Carnera's knockout record was legitimate he would have been included in the greatest punchers list long ,long ago!And the HOF!

Of course they were responsible for his death. He was the one hitting him.

Who was responsible if not him?

Was George Khalid Jones responsible for Scottland?

Why not take the trouble to do some research on the background to the fight? Schaaf's recent hospitalization and his awful knockout by Baer which came in the last seconds of their fight .?

No, don't want to do that? Well just carry on typing **** then!

You've had your reply from me, go and annoy someone else.
Me continuing to debate with you would make as much sense and be as profitable to me as your cherry picking 1930 to1940 as Sharkey's time, when everyone knows he was washed up after 1932

Schaaf had the flu when he was in the hospital before the fight.

Also, Ernie Schaaf fought three times after the Baer fight, before facing Carnera. Including a knockout win over rated Stanley Poreda in his outing just before facing Primo.

And Schaaf brutalized Poreda, flooring him four times in six dominant rounds.

The "Baer beating" in regards to Schaaf holds as much water as "Dundee cutting Ali's glove to cause a delay" in the first Cooper fight.

You even quoted the sportswriter Hype Igoe saying he thought Schaaf took a dive and wouldn't believe it was a legit knockdown unless he died. Then Schaaf died as a result of the KO, and they said it wasn't Carnera's punches it was Max Baer's punches FROM FOUR FIGHTS EARLIER.

Even when Carnera nearly killed a guy, which totally ruined their "narrative" that all his wins were setups, they had to spin it and blame it on Baer. They lied so often people just accepted it as truth.

    It's just bull.

Carnera was among the top heavyweights of his era. Clearly.

You're the one who named Sharkey one of the five best heavyweights from 1930-1939, and you're the one who said you thought Schaaf was better than Carnera, even though, when they fought, Carnera KILLED HIM.

Braddock, Willard and Burns were all worse.
