Very good. 15-1 in world title fights including 13 stoppages in world title fights, lineal champion for 3 years, beat 8 ranked fighters 5 of them were in the top 5. Show me another Featherweight with a better resume in recent times.
He was a great fighter and one of the best showmen in boxing. He just could not bounce back from a loss. Some guys can't.
I don't think so, partly because his hands were an issue at that point and in the end I think Barrera was just the smarter more complete fighter. It would of been more competitive but in the end Barrera would find a way to win.
To beat Barrera you have to play dirty back that Antonio sure loved getting cheap when frustrated with his elbows headbutts
Hamed's loss to Barrera is blown out of proportion. The fight was of course not close, but competitive, as evidenced by the scorecards 116-111 and 115-112 (twice). And Barrera is a great fighter.
I would say absolutely. He ticks all the boxes for a hype-job promoted from the UK. Yes, he even had the most obvious theatrical hype to hype his hype.
