Stylistically, Qawi would have always forced Matt on the back foot and kept him there. Matthew generally prevailed by outlasting the competition, but Ike's execution was too tightly controlled to allow this. Conteh came very close to decisioning Matt in their first bout, before that trio of 14th round knockdowns derailed John. Put Dwight in that situation, and he closes the deal. (With one good hand, Conteh deserves massive props for uniquely going the championship distance with Matt, raising questions about how John might have done in his prime, with two good hands.)

In Saad's last few title defenses before meeting Qawi, he prevailed in some all-out wars in which he outlasted his opposition and absorbed trememdous amounts of punishment. Against Qawi, he faced a relentless buzzsaw that he could no longer outlast. A prime Saad would do better, probably go the distance in a fight in which both would dish out and take a lot of punishment, but Qawi would probably outhustle him to a points victory.

Qawi certainly did have the talent and style to possibly triumph against any Saad. What i don't agree with is it being the same outcome as when they did fight.

A younger sharper Saad would never make things as easy and was capable of fighting much better on the outside with the jab and actually had reflexes.I see a tough fight with a lot of back and forth, hell, Qawi was drawn into a relative war of attrition with Davis(a stylist without much firepower) after he really should have won early. If he doesn't take his chances and absorbs that amount of shots here it would get to be tough going.

I just watched Qawi-Saad 2 today and that has to rank as a complete a performance by Dwight as you'd ever want to see.

It terms of one sided, controlled beatings it ranks with Toney-Barkley in its brutality but also it's high skill level.

Qawi dominated Saad from the inside but even when Saad tried to keep it at a distance Qawi's ability to slip under the jab and roll with Saads vaunted right hand and land his own meaty rights and hooks allowed him to control the fight from a range a man of his size should have been ill suited to do it at.

Qawi's defensive chops and all round physicality and toughness gives me serious doubts a fighter of Saad Muhummad's style would ever have much success against him.

So we aren't allowed to think anyone is past their best to a varying degree anymore and use that belief as a factor in grading the worth of a win accordingly?.Thankfully i know know all victories over a any given fighter are equal.Might as well just shut the site down and disband boxing as a sport, after all no one can ever truly prove anything in relation to each other anymore

Basically that's utter shite and the logic of a fool who isn't thinking things through, or unfortunataly more likely on here a heavily biased intellectually dishonest poster/Qawi fanboy or just good old trolling(in which case you've walked right into it, as perhaps have i in responding to this;))
