I ask because it's just 3 months removed from Holyfield Stopping Qwai in four rounds, and in the proceeding 3 fights, Qwai gained 32 pounds. Just sort of sounds like a guy who was still recovering frim his TKO loss, enjoying eating what he wants, but then getting a phone call offering decent money to fight Foreman, presumably on short notice.

I don’t see why not. Foreman was hand picking small, mainly white journeymen and other no hopers at that time and certainly Qawi would have fitted the bill as another no hoper who posed little threat to Foreman.

Either of these posts sounds plausible.

Foreman was actually in the best shape of his 'second career' for this one. He weighed 235 and was certainly less jiggly across his body than usual!

Yet a very thick-around-the-waist Qawi, giving away ten inches in height and having seen much better days, landed big shots on Foreman at will and made George look pretty clueless until he basically just ran out of gas.

Thank God Foreman was kept away from a Tua or an Ibeabuchi once the nineties rolled in. He wouldn't have lasted four rounds against them fighting like that. Great effort from Qawi under the circumstances, mind you.
