Saw him in Glasgow at "An evening with"

The jokes might have been old and predictable but we all lapped it up! :good

He was great entertainment and spoke to anyone who wanted to speak to him. He came across really well.

    Nice Guy, I say.

I honestly can't work out whether this you're taking the p1ss out of Betty here or whether you seriously believe this. I hope for your sake it's the former otherwise Betty's mental illness is catching like swine flu. Which means we're all at risk!

I've been banned for that twice as well. Seems like our dear Mods don't like free speech when it comes to Herr Swollocks!

Anyone with any sense knows the answer to this question. It's not by accident that so many people love and identify with the guy. Nonetheless, I guarantee you the Swollocks mafia of internet obsessives will be along soon with their attempts at character assassaination!

Yesterday on GranadaTV Ricky Hatton gave fans even more fodder to light up the message boards by declaring that he hopes Man Utd. win the Champions League (they did) and “bring another belt and trophy back to this great city of Manchester.” We all should have seen this coming when he said his brother Matthew (who is also fighting Saturday) is a Man United supporter.

Remember those days when if a British team other than our own were in Europe we automatically wanted them to win? Of course maybe that was when British teams were mainly made up of British players!
Hatton is a genuine nice guy, nobody who's ever met him has a bad word to say about the guy. I'll take that over a few obsessives on the internet who've made it their life's mission to analyse and twist every single word he comes out with!
I've met him and he was superb. Also he's gave me some great fight nights to remember. Wish we had more like him.

Hatton was a world class fighter (not a great one) pretty good bloke outside the ring.... but played on his image to much which made him come across as being a lttle false.... while also being a bit dim.

    That's just my assesment anyway.
If I had a quid for every dodgy internet rumour I'd heard about a boxer I'd be a rich man! This has been debated to hell and back. If he is owed money then I'd wager Ricky Hatton didn't even know about it. If it's contested then they'll probably have their day in court over it. Either way, they are two grown men and it's never as black and white as "I heard a rumour so it's got to be true".
Ricky ai'nt stupid, he's sharp, but it's his dad thats the rapacious *******, Graham never signed a contract ever as he thought it would break up the harmony between him & ricky, gentelman's agreement shite, friends & bizzness never mix. But the hatton's will spend more on Lawyers fees than what graham wants, it's settle out of court at the last minute with a gagging order on billy, same old ****:smoke

One thing i'am sure of is this: If hatton was'nt boxing he'd be bangin yer front door tellin yer you're just about 2 have yer driveway tarmaced:smoke

I think he's probably a decent guy, and I can believe people when they say that he'd be alright to talk to at the pub when you get him in that kind of context.

Problem is infront of the camera, which is where it matters for a boxer on a boxing forum, he seems like a clever con artist. He plays on the whole thing too much, he built up a hardcore support through careful manipulating of the press. I've said this so many times, but no truely normal person, or at least a person without other motives continually claims they are 'one of the lads'. It's just not done, I'd like to think nobody on here would talk like that in the pub, and probably neither would Ricky Hatton! But that's the point...

The whole intention was so obviously about money, which is okay, but none of what he actually claims is based in reality.
