anyone who could hold a title six years, move up and beat Leonard on points has plenty of credentials

I must admit, I was surprised he lost to someone like Benitez and then Kirkland Laing

someone like Benitez? Youngest champion ever. 3 time champion when it mattered. Duran was a bit overrated, but that is fine. People liked his charisma and fighting spirit. He knew whom he could beat and whom he could not. You sure know your boxing Rooster saying someone like Benitez. After losing his third title after 9 years or so in the game he only had 2 losses to Sugar Ray Leonard and Thomas Hearns. Incidentally, he was one of the elites Duran could not beat.

Worst question ever. Everybody knows the truth. It's like asking,"Does Raquel Welch have a great set of tits?" Pretty obvious.
Wait a minute. Is this a Markant moron thread?

Isn't that the dude that Bruce Curry beat twice, the first time bouncing him like a basketball around the ring?

I don't see that on his record. Bruce Curry? The guy who Hearns took 3 rounds to knockout, but less to knock out Duran. I see Cervantes, Leonard,Hearns, Duran on Wilfred's resume. And wins over Cervantes and Duran as far as elites.
