Marciano and Frazier I said earlier but a surprising one would be Liston. He threw more punches a round then Marciano and Frazier. Not as many power punches but threw a lot of that heavy jab. He ended his fights pretty early usually. Only not sure how Listons power carried over to later rounds.

Liston's stamina is very underrated. It's noteworthy that his punching power is right up there on many people's top 10-15 lists yet he doesn't gas the way most sluggers do.

He rarely got an opportunity to display his superb stamina due to his opponent's simply being knocked out. Another rare trait is his late round punching power as seen in the Whitehurst fight when he knocked him out the ring at the very last second of the 10th round. Combined with his thunderous jab, solid chin, and underrated ring IQ a prime Liston is one of the most formidable of all time h2h and his chances can never be written off.

To be fair, a lot of guys did but didn't throw as much. Jeanette, Johnson and McVey all fought for similar distances. And Willard didn't actually go 45 rounds (still ATG stamina)

I can throw 10 punches a round for 45 rounds against guys who weigh 50 pounds less than me. That's hardly a great engine. By the way, this is the same guy who QUIT ON HIS STOOL because he was tired and wanted to go home.

Marciano, Frazier and Sullivan are the top tier of heavyweight stamina for me

Marciano has to be top 3 in the heavyweight division - coming forward, late power, 15 rounds- Charles 1 and Walcott 1 he showed late power against superb 15 round fighters - Frazier was impressive in the FOTC and Ali was impressive vs Bonavena and Fight 2 and 3 vs Frazier- workrate, pace, pressure I would have to say Marciano - who else could fight 15 rounds at his pace ?

If we accept this what does it say about old Walcott's stamina?
